This morning, Glenn Beck returned from his vacation and responded to a New York Times article that suggested he and Fox News could be parting ways soon. I received hundreds of Say it aint so, Joe e-mails last week about this topic, so it goes with out saying that I was glad to hear Glenn get this out of the way this morning...

The truth is so hard to take.
The truth is so hard to take.
Truth is one thing. Exaggeration is another.

I have no complaint if a good conservative blogger posts his own material to FR, not as an excerpt to drive hits and discussion back to his blog, but rather to impart useful information to OUR readers and to promote and join in on the discussion and conservative activism HERE on FR.
If a blogger cant or refuses do that, and if he constantly complains or fights with our participants over it, then Id just as soon he doesnt post here. Its not my job to make his content or his presentation or cooperation acceptable to our readers. Thats his job. And if he cannot do it or refuses to do it and continues posting brief excerpts only and obviously attempting to draw away our participants while loudly complaining about it, then I have no sympathy for his complaints and the more apt I am to ban his account and blog.
A word to the wise is generally sufficient. We don't want to drive good conservative thought off of FR. But we need to fight a recent surge of people using FR as a launching pad for click-through marketing attacks. This kind of abuse is unfair to our volunteer donors that keep FreeRepublic.com running.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
Good Luck. You will need it. Obama is going to screw up everyones retirement. Eat Drink and be Merry.
Wow. I was thinking you were 42 or so. I mean you are pretty cool to even know about MTV at the tender age of 58. Have a great one.
“If there is anything to be happy about what is going on let me know ot tell me what you are on.”
Agree. The simultaneous dismantling of this once great country and the ruination of our children’s future is very depressing. Someone has to soberly tell it like it is or we are deluding ourselves and living in denial. There are huge problems everywhere you look in this country. Not much to be happy about really.
If his ratings were down, and Fox were thinking of dropping him perhaps he could get government funding from the same cash cow NPR it locked onto.
I am sure NPR and liberals will all agree since they are all so consistent and fair without regard to partisan differences.
You ask what we have to be happy about?
Jesus Christ is in control of history. Just the thought makes me feel WONDERFUL, and brings a smile to my face.
Read the last chapter in the Bible; we win.
I am not counting on Social Security anyway. I have been hearing that we weren’t going to get it since I was very young. I have been saving and saving like crazy for 24 years especially during the great years of the 90’s and early 00’s. I have individual stocks and mutual funds and no 401Ks. I will receive a pension from the military starting in June 2011 when I retire. My family will be more than fine. I just can’t get caught up on money.
*ouch* that’s gonna leave a mark...
He’s crazy if he leaves Fox, he’s got it made there and can do whatever he wants. If he thinks he’ll have it better somwhere else his Ego is out of control. I like Glenn, think he’s great and hope he stays at Fox.
NO!!!!!! Not my intention at all. I obviously have absolutely no sense of humor so should not even try.
Now that’s funny!
The 70's were a cake walk compared to what's coming our way. What can obama really do? How about if he and Geitner and Bernanke debase our currency to the point where it's replaced as the world's reserve currency? If that happens we'll wish we were as lucky as the folks in Greece. And BTW...Geitner told the world on Friday that the admininstration is 'open' to looking a replacement for the dollar as the world's reserve currency.
The advertising people at Fox refer to Beck as “Empty Calories”, because he pulls such good ratings, but no one wants to run advertisements during his timeslot for fear of a boycott.
If we want Beck to stay on Fox we need to do an Anti-Boycott of potential sponsers and let them know we want to hem to advertise on Beck’s Timeslot, that would help a LOT.
Whoop de Doop!
Being too aware is tough. I have a hard time watching the sand in the hourglass run out. The Tsunami is heading right at us.
I’m willing to join an Anti-Boycott. Keep me posted if one develops.
