Oh, were you thinking that the explosion led to the tsunami? No.

No I was wondering if the site got flooded leading to the explosion. Seems odd that the two took place at the same time. However I wanted to know if anyone had a actual account of events rather than just suspicions.

Japanese government officials acknowledged the potential for partial fuel meltdowns at Fukushima Daiichi Units 1 and 3 reactors.

At both Units 1 and 3, seawater and boric acid is being injected into the reactor using fire pumps. On Unit 3, a pressure relief valve in the containment structure failed to open, but was restored by connecting an air pressure to the line driving valve operation.

Gupta says a radio announcement gave a fifteen minutes warning ten minutes ago for tsunami. He says he’s about a kilometer from the coast.

An expert on the John Batchelor show said NHK is reporting that it was a hydrogen explosion in reactor #3 and the 6.2 aftershock caused the tsunami they spotted off the coast.

Apparently some helicopters saw what looked like a tsunami coming in and reported it- not sure if there was other confirmation.

Maybe a rogue wave?

There are some of us who realize we are on the other side of the earth, information even onsite is incomplete, and would rather wait for concrete information rather than run around screaming with our heads up our asses and our hands over our heads.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people (and not just some Freepers) who think unalloyed panic and disinformation is just peachy.

Those poor people! A 2nd reactor touches off and ANOTHER tsunami coming in?

Anderson Cooper shouldn’t be asking, he should be pickin’ em up and layin ‘em down as fast as his little trotters will fly.

Prayers.

Eternal father, strong to save
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave
Who bids the mighty ocean deep,
Its own appointed limits keep:
Oh hear us when we cry to thee, for those in peril from the sea.
