Those guys keeping a lid on this are going way above and beyond right now. How true. I read there are seven missing after this last explosion.

That’s about right...more hydrogen gas mixed with oxygen gas. The reactor is hot enough to cause the cooling water to “disassociate” into free oxygen and hydrogen. That’s exactly what the space shuttle main engines burn, and you know what that looks like.
This looks worse than it really was, and it was not unexpected. Those square buildings are not considered “containment” per se, and are not designed to keep radioactive anything in.
Steady....

On an earlier thread yesterday an actual expert posted that if the core had exploded you would see all kinds of assemblies thrown up into the sky. That is why he made the claim that the explosion near reactor 1 was not the reactor. And he was right. So I am just using his speculation and applying that to this explosion. Dont ask me to dig up the link, been posting on numerous threads today unfortunately.

They are fighting for their future, their communities and their own lives right now.
Pray for them.

So a larger explosion may have caused more of the support assemblies within the reactor building to be thrown up into the air ? That is what is very troubling. Lots of parts falling from the sky there. So perhaps we still have a chance. Good.
Unfortunately now we have to be concerned with the damage to Reactor 2 from those falling parts. Reactor 2 has had two buildings explode nearby.

Take a hike. Nobody is interested in what you have to say. If you can’t contribute, go elsewhere.

They are so damned predictable. I really do believe this is a case of “Don’t let a crisis go to waste”.
They are working overtime right now.

Jeez. I made the mistake of going there to look...they have some video there with Ed Asner on it. That sounds about right.
Now, my browser is probably soiled.

Great book...:) Great advice for those who have learned to live in fear...
To: RayChuang88
Given that the Fukushima reactors are NOT going to have a gigantic spread of radiation like what happened at Chernobyl, those folks in the MSM need to have their heads virtually bopped for spreading too many Chicken Little warnings. The messed up reality is that the media, whores that they are, gets ratings by cranking it up. They can't even report the weather responsibly. It is certain they can't be depended on for this.
What is really happening will probably come together like a jigsaw puzzle over time. Let us all hope we can throw away the ugly pieces as the picture is built.

Please see Post 132 of this thread.
The expert on CNN seems calm and collected to me.

CNN says smoke rising from reactor #1 and there was a blast in reactor #3. Anderson Cooper wants to know if he should get out of dodge ... I saw that. He interrupted his broadcast to ask where the blast was, where he was, how far, which way the wind was blowing, etc.
Feh...

LOL. I had to go look, in the same way I had to go down to Arlington National Cemetery to counterprotest against the Westboro Baptist people.
I had this need to see if they really existed. They do, and that website does...:)
Thanks for that info, though. I was trying to figure out where that came from.
Heh, I did a google search for 750 rads west coast and this is what it looked like:

I wrote to you, and you read it. Apparently you are interested.
I can, and have contributed, just as you have. Your on topic posts are good.
Now, how about we just drop this and go back to the discussion that this thread is about?
If you can resist posting abusive blanket flames, I can resist calling you out for it.
