Whats in your wallet?
Not much especially after a trip to the supermarket.
At the checkout counter at the DAgostino in Hells Kitchen, retired ballerina Carol Sumner shook her head over the increasingly steep price of her weekly grocery bill.
Its outrageous, said Sumner, a senior citizen who was making a pit stop to buy soda, ice cream and cake for a party she was throwing.
I feel like I am getting fleeced and taken advantage of. I dont buy meat anymore. I cant. Its too expensive.
The price index for groceries is expected to surge 3 to 4 percent nationally this year, according to the US Dept. of Agriculture.

Exactly, this is Carter pt II, down to food prices, back then Beef was a luxury..a real luxury.
And another angle people miss on this is the prevalence of food stamp usage means the working are essentially paying a Food Tax.
Better start the seed packages now.
Obama is doing what every Democrat has the luxury of doing. Knowing that every thing he does wrong will be desperately covered over by a synchophantic press.
It will never be his fault, and only the informed and discerning will understand that. Most Obama voters will blame “evil corporations” because that is what the MSM will tell them.
Fleeced by whom? Every time gas prices go up --- it must be due to the gouging by the oil companies. There is a financial crisis --- it must be due to the gouging by and the "greed" of Wall Street executives. Food prices are going up --- someone must be fleecing and gouging again.
With voters like this, who no longer know how the country works, is it any wonder that commies are taking over?

At my local grocer. 1/2 gal. Blue Bell $7. Pork chops $1.63/lb. I've got pork chops!
Thanks.
We now use the term regularly.
Yeah, and not a very good one at that. I would think that by now Obama would have run out of Keynesian economists who don't want their name associated with this presidency.
Number one is rising inflation, due to Obamas destruction of the dollar.
Number two is rising gas prices, adding increased transportation cost to everything across the board.
Number three is the fact we are burning our corn for fuel, rather than eating it. This is driving up corn, which is a staple in things people never realize (corn syrup, etc.)
Re: Number 1 -- We have a severe fiscal problem that our gov't is trying to fix with a monetary band-aid. Fault: Obama
Re: Number 2 -- Obama and the left has curtailed US drilling for oil. Couple this with a weaker dollar, and gasoline prices go up. Fault: Obama
Re: Number 3 -- This item is hurting third world countries extremely hard. The people Obama is trying to liberate and save are being enslaved by their messiah. Fault: Obama.
Let's see the average truck holds 200 gals of diesel. If the price on diesel goes from $3/gal to $4/gal that's an extra $200 per load. If the load is 40,000 lbs that's an extra .5 cents per pound.
It's not the price of diesel it's everything else that's causing it to rise. Mostly, though, it's speculation that this administration is doing NOTHING to improve business climate in the U.S. - which is true.
The price is rising because the U.S.'s policies which make us vulnerable to foreign markets and control. All because this asshole in the WH is a racist, bigoted, marxist, socialist hell bent on taking over the U.S.
You went to church in IRAQ?!?
lol

Are those government approved pork chops?
'cause we're burning the stuff that's necessary for the production of those things.
It is all Bush’s fault we know we know. Do you go in every thread and try to make people feel bad for voicing their frustrations? Did you ever answer my question in the other thread about Obama and world currency? You seem to have a pattern of you are so much more intelligent than everybody else and they have no legit complaints. Why do you bother with us retards?
Are you acquainted with John Pugsley’s Alpha Strategy of mini warehousing?
It is available as a free .pdf and was a best seller during the later Carter Era, based on your blog post it would be a good time to head to Sam’s and buy a 25 pd bag of sugar..maybe 2 depending on how much sugar a household uses.
Just yesterday, I watched a 300 pounder use her EBT card to buy a large fountain drink and a kingsize candy bar.
Afterward, she counted change to buy 2 packs of cigarettes.
The place was crowded so I didn't, but I just about blew a gasket.

I used to keep close track of the rise in prices for nearly everything, but once that rise is here, what else can be done?
