It is difficult to imagine the intensity of this earthquake.

I have read reports stating that major portions of Japan have subsided and are now permanently underwater.

Bret Baer just showed the permanently subsided areas, noting maps are going to have to be re-drawn.

Japanese are also noted for underestimating the situation to save face, so ‘lost control’ probably means just that.

Prayers.

Wow, it’s not like they had a lot of land for their 127 million people to begin with. They’ve done a lot of work with land reclamation - they’ll have to continue that aplenty now.

More critical are these reactor cores - can they get them under control?

yes

They have had SEVERAL “aftershocks” of 7.0

7.0 is not an ‘aftershock’ - it’s a full blown BIG quake.

So they have one strong quake after another -

I still say, living on the Ring of Fire is gambling with your life - it’s the old “It won’t happen to me” belief... I lived on the Calif side on the Ring for 10 yrs - and 30 yeas ago, decided “I’m outta here!”
