It’s almost going to be like that movie with Mel Gibson “Ransom” where he’ll give the money to whoever finds the guy who kidnapped his son. There’s probably going to be more than the dad waiting for him to get out of jail. Best thing the state could do is ship him out west and release him there. But then, there is the internet and folks will be looking. Just saying.

Justice is not being served in our system any more. This killer should never see the light of day.I agree with the father. Just would have kept my mouth shut as to my plans.

The father won’t be able to kill him because he will be with me and 25 other people on the (future) date of the kidkiller’s murder.

I’m guessing it’s someone else that will kill the kidkiller. Sorry, I don’t know who that is.

The father needs to be arrested. You can’t go around announcing your intention to kill another person no matter what they did. He took the plea deal, he understood that the guy might get off for good behaviour and it’s not like he’s getting decades off his sentence. He got 40 years and has served 36. 1/10th of a sentence reduction for good behaviour seems to me an appropriate reduction and it’s not even determined that he WILL get out.

Arrest the father for uttering threats, and get him some counselling.

Actually he's served 29. While the crime was committed in 1975, he wasn't arrested until 1982, when he tried to kill another boy and ended up confessing to this murder. Why they ever agreed to let him plea to 2nd degree murder is what baffles me.

Since you care so much about this child killer how about you take him in your country...maybe in your town...maybe next door to you...or is your compassion limited by the border?

Here’s my idea: people convicted of murders, especially ones such as this one, should be set free with the umderstanding that when they turn up dead, there will be no investigation whatsoever. I like my plan much better than yours.

The only way 3 men can keep a secret........ is if 2 are dead.

But maybe this poor tormented dad doesn’t care anymore. Maybe announcing to the world his intent, is a way in of trying to heal a wound..... that will never heal.

I wish Mr. Foreman complete success in his future endeavors, as well as calm seas, following winds, and prosperous voyages. I wish him peace.

Like any dad, I wish I could help him.

Were I in his shoes, I damn sure know what I would do.

“Amy Kempe, a spokeswoman for Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Kilmartin, said the attorney general is outraged that Woodmansee may get sprung early and has asked authorities to keep him locked up.”

Maybe his announcement will keep the bastard locked up.

Years later, he told police he had been thinking about what it would be like to kill someone and suspected he could get away with it.

It looks like he did get away with it -- at least once that we know of. He tried to strangle that paperboy too. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other victims we don't know about.

Where are the “SICKO” inmates when you need them?

Wholeheartedly agree with the DAD, however, in this country led by Obama AND HIS ILK, the MOST BEDWETTING, Liberal, ever elected to INFEST the White House . . . . you gotta’ know when to keep “QUIET” . . . . .

Bubba Ho-Tep:
You’re right - 29 out of 40 isn’t a reasonable amount of time served. Particularly for a crime of this nature. He shouldn’t be released until at least 36 years served.

pepperdog:
I only care about this child-killer in so far as I don’t believe he should be murdered by an enraged, vengeance-seeking individual. However, I’m not some NIMBY wimp and would, if required, put my money where my mouth is and live next door to a man who had been convicted of this crime and served his time.

Emmett McCarthy:
What you’re suggesting is that there should be a criteria established whereby people can be stripped of their inherent ‘humanness’ based on their actions. Who would you expect to establish this criteria? The government? The courts? The Church? Your proposal is ludicrous and immoral.

Godbert:
Your country couldn’t afford it.

This guy is a massive scumbag. He tried to strangle a 14 year old paperboy afterwards. This isn’t like he accidently killed someone or felt remorse afterwards, he’s an unrepentent child murderer. There is no way any rational person can argue that he should ever leave prison unless its in a box...

You wouldn’t be spouting this crapola if it was your child.
This man’s child was stolen and murdered for crying out loud.
