The Patriot Guard Riders consist of motorcycle riders from across the nation who come together and work to ensure that the funerals for America's fallen heroes are shielded from interruptions by protesters.

In light of the Supreme Court 8-1 decision that members of the renegade Westboro Baptist Church have a constitutionally protected right to protest military funerals, please take a moment to watch this video in honor of our heroes, those warriors like Brennan Gibson and Matthew Snyder.
As long as we have people like the Patriot Guards to counteract these scumbags that could do their protesting anywhere else.
When they try to stop the Patriot Guards, then there will be s*** flying.
The right to Peaceably Assemble is not to Disturb the Peace, except that I have yet to see anyone arrest these punks for it.
A proud Patriot Guard member - thanks for posting!
The Patriot Guard provided a large escort for the WWII Veterans including my Dad whotook the Honor Flight to see their WWII Memorial in DC. He was very moved by their patriotism.
You and me both brother.
Proud member of the PGR in Southeast Texas BUMP!
And me.
Thank you for what you do to honor and protect the families of the fallen ones.
A Vietnam vet myself, I was furious when that Westboro hate group came to Lubbock to protest at the funeral of a second son lost overseas (Afghanistan and then Iraq). I decided to drive two hours to Lubbock for the 4 p.m. funeral and pay my respects to the man. It ended up being one of the most moving events in my life.
The church was about half full with local police and firemen attending as well as friends, family and folks like me. The police presence at the back and entrance were there to make sure no one got inside to disrupt the service but there were none.
As the service went on with messages by the pastor and a eulogy by the serviceman’s father, the father asked those who had served in the military to stand and be recognized. I was one who did so and then he requested that all former and current military gather at the altar behind the casket. I found myself behind the casket with the grieving widow on the other side. One of the military called us to attention and then order “hand salute” as taps was played through the church speaker system. I was shaking and barely kept the tears from flowing as the widow was crying inconsolably.
At the conclusion of the service as we left the church, we were flanked on both sides by the Patriot Guard with American flags. The occasion remains one of my most vivid memories.
My computer screen was all misty when watching this. It’s a wonderfully produced video.
I have not yet had the honor of guarding a family from the Westoro hate group. In one way I hope I never have to, as I hope their practices soon end - everywhere.
BUT, if they are in my area, I look forward to not only guarding the family, but confronting them on the judgment they probably face for so grossly misrepresenting God to the world.......
Thank you. This group escorted my young, fallen nephew this morning. I couldn’t be at the funeral and found the pictures on the internet and was so thankful at the presence of this remarkable group of individuals.
You are very kind and gracious, but I can tell you that your nephew was the remarkable one, as are all who “gave all”.....”greater love hath no man than this: that he lay down his life...”
The Patriot Guard I know are the most ordinary of all folk in every way, a lot from the rougher side of the tracks - but most have served their country, and all love this country and those who have served. It is we who are honored to be able to help in any way.
It’s just a shame all in our nation doesn’t think and feel the same way. My God bless all of your family and minister his keeping grace to you all.
