How did they find out?
Rules are rules.
is this from 1911?
lol
Maybe he impregnated her with a turkey baster, like the Fundamental Mormons “do” to their wives?
I guess if he had premarital sex with his boyfriend, that’d be A-OK.
Did they get married? If not, then it wasn’t pre-marital, was it?
Something tells me the media will invite judgment in this case.
Well, I admirethem for their courage. Please don’t talk about homosexual activity if you aren’t going to talk about pre-marital sex. While that may hit closer to home, it’s just as wrong. Talk to the millions of single family households and the now sainted “single mom” as to the effect of this.
I can imagine empty stadiums and gyms across the nation....
Response: Good for the University administration.
BYU's honor code instructs students to live a virtuous and chaste life, be honest, attend church regularly and refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol, coffee or tea.
Our neighbors are Mormons who attended BYU. They have both a happy marriage and a great family, a real center for the kids in the neighborhood. I've just been teaching our homeschooled daughter about the 6th commandment, and this is a perfect illustration of what it's all about.
Of course, the usual scoffers will tell us it's just impossible to be true to this code, and you could die from not having sex, or whatever--all of which makes it important to keep the honor code in place and enforce it strictly.
I am no fan of mormonism but I applaud their stance of upholding standards. The hard part is that sometimes it hurts to do it. But adults do what they have to do.
Comapre this to the scene at Northwestern, was it?, recently where they had a naked sex-toy demonstartion as part of the class show-and-tell.
Joe Smith and Brigham Young himself wouldn’t have lasted a semester at BYU.
Rules are rules and they must be followed by everyone on a team

Love to see him playing for the Celtics!
Goodbye.
Hello!!! She’s having a baby.
For those non-college basketball Freepers, Brigham Young University's basketball team was recently voted #3 in the latest polls. They were projected as a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament (there are four of each seed, 1 through 16), and were ready to make school history.
They had a home game against a team with a significantly less-than-impressive record last night, New Mexico. UNM blew out BYU, in Provo, by a score of 82-64. As a result, it is unlikely that BYU will be seeded anywhere near #1, as the selection commitee has to consider the loss of a player (whether through injury or other infraction) when they seed.
From what I hear though, even though most of the students are likely disappointed, they support the decision of the coach and the administration.
If only our political leaders were as courageous as this college basketball player.
His leaving had consequences: After he was kicked off, BYU played lowly New Mexico who promptly beat them.
