Your Senator Voted to Restrict Abortion Access
Last Thursday, the Virginia Senate voted on an unprecedented piece of legislation that will severely impact access to first trimester abortion services around the Commonwealth. SB 924 started off as a simple regulatory bill for hospitals and nursing homes, until anti-choice extremist Del. Kathy Byron amended it to include the most restrictive and vague TRAP legislation we have seen. After a rigorous debate, the vote was 20-20, with anti-choice Lt. Governor Bill Bolling breaking the tie.
Your Senator voted for this extreme bill. Please take action now to express your disappointment.
What else can you do? Call your Senator (find out who it is here), contact Courtney.Jones@ppfa.org for talking points to write a letter to the editor, facebook and tweet about the vote, or volunteer THIS WEDNESDAY for a national phonebank to save Title X family planning funding. Details forthcoming.
Filthy unregulated, uninspected hellholes masquarading as “womens health centers.”
