Madison Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs said Sunday night that protesters can remain inside the state Capitol.
"The people who are in the building will be allowed to stay,"Tubbs said. "There will be no arrests unless people violate the law."
Several hundred protesters refused to leave the building when the doors were shut at 4 p.m. as authorities attempted to get the state Capitol back to normal working hours.

Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs made a totally gutless coward decision.
Time for a coup in Madison.
Bad move caving in or making any concessions to these communists.
Yeah. Walker should have had the guard ready for the inevitable police fail. If ever there was a "teachable moment" about unionized government workers, this is it.
Explain please.
Sending a note of support to Gov Walker would be a good idea-—

Worthless pigs. You can screw up the capital building, violate countless laws, but as long as you’re a union communist thug, you’re fine. Just don’t double park or they’ll shoot your dog.
Yes maybe if they don’t let anybody else in the others will get tired of it and leave on their own.
when the SHTF....we can not trust the police...probably not the military either......people better wake up to that fact....
These are public service unions, state employees such as teachers. They don't make any goods.
I agree with you that Walker isn’t “losing” by letting these people stay the night again.
I’m fine with it IF the cops will haul out all the mattresses and cooking crap they brought in. If you look at some of those videos, they’ve set up damn offices and mess halls in the conference rooms. That crap has to go.
Then as they did tonight, lock the door and don’t let anyone else in. If you leave, your gone.
Remember, these are mainly Gen Y people. They don’t have the stamina to do this for weeks on end. Nor do these union protesters.
While the short-term kinda sucks, the long-term effect of this will be more important. Kinda like walking away from a fight against a school bully with all his henchmen nearby to make sure you get the blame. Gov. Walker will be seen as the bigger man and the imported astroturfers won’t get what they came for - more publicity and public sympathy.
Outside the big population centers this is going to drive Wisconsinites to vote Red even more than in the last election.
Also don’t let in any excuse pad wielding doctors. Control the ins and outs and document them with cameras. Warn them of the last call for any ‘ill’ protesters to leave. Anyone in thereafter is admitted to be well and can’t be medically excused from missing work tomorrow. That may shake a few loose and will hopefully spee the firing of those that stay.
Oh snap! I knew that. I got ahead of myself.
Going to bed now.
Over at the DUmmies it's reported that they have dinner being delivered.
Walker has been strong.....I’m pretty sure the common thought was that people staying overnight in a closed govt office would be illegal and the cops would shue them out....he’ll confer with the attorneys office and then maybe have to call in the national guard....
No reinforcements , no food , no water , no toilet paper .
I just did; also strongly recommended firing Charlie Tubbs for dereliction of duty.
That's hard for me to believe. Is this not dereliction of duty?
I'm sure there's plenty of people willing to relocate to WI to find work. When the time comes I hope the Gov fires the b@st@rd$.
