Could someone explain to me what was going on?? I listened to Megan Kelly say that in order to vote, the Republicans needed at least one democrat on the floor. I saw in that “shame” video a lot of democrats on the floor. I don’t get it - if all those democrats were there, and all that was needed was one, what’s the big deal about the 14 that weren’t there??? I’m really confused. Unless, those were the 14 SENATORS, and this was the House? Did I answer my own question?

Republicans in the Wisconsin Assembly took the first significant action on their plan to strip collective bargaining rights from most public workers,

Should say collective bargaining privileges, but then we don't really expect honesty from the AP.

Yep, you answered your own question. The quorum requirement that lovely Meghan was talking about is the WI Senate. Last night’s vote was the Assembly.

The posse is still out looking for the 14 looser Senators.

THEY ARE NOT “RIGHTS”. They are negotiated contract benefits. They are PRIVILEGES. They can be taken away. They can be reduced. They can be changed.

They are not RIGHTS.

It was the actual *time to vote* that I was referring to. Did you watch the video?

The actual vote was open and closed within seconds while most of the Democrats were out of the room. 28 of them didn’t cast their votes.

Yeah they debated for 60 hours but when the important vote occured the GOP made it clear: the Dems *were* losers. They were in the minority from the very beginning. The GOP knew that there was not even any point in their voting, since they were in the minority.

Do you have a problem with that? The Dems are in the minority. Why not crush them and pass what you want?

The Dems knew when the vote would take place. No sympathy here.
