It’s okay, I can see where you might have misunderstood. No, I was definitely not tweaking you, DoughtyOne. I’ve found your replies on this thread to be completely civil and respectful.

Thank you LoneVoice. I felt bad about misinterpreting your intentions there. I appreciate your understanding.

To be honest, I wouldn’t term my offerings here as completely civil. There comes a point when you try to be civil while the other person devolves to the level of a consummate jerk, when civility is no longer called for.

I think we passed that point some time ago on this thread. Frankly, civility wasn’t the strong point of several ‘Christians’ on this thread. And I find that unfortunate.

I don’t want Christianity to be recognized as having players who are as abysmal as that.

John 3:17 states:

“For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.”

Paraphrased: I was not sent her to condemn my fellow man, but that my fellow man through me might be saved.

This doesn’t mean that like Jesus, I am going to do the saving. It means that I can lead my fellow man to grace. I won’t be doing that by demonizing them. And if I see someone going that route, I’m going to defend the sinner vs champion the person doing the condemning.

You don’t march into threads like this throwing mud at Mormons, fellow Christians, and anyone else you like, because you consider yourself ‘saved’, and the Lord’s chosen planetary umpire.

Folks will have to excuse me, but I didn’t see Christian love for their fellow man expressed on this thread.

Thanks again LoneVoice. This won’t be bothering me tonight.
