The name Seventh-Day Adventist refers to the Seventh-Day Sabbath first referred to in Genesis, and carried on to Jesus day in Israel, and to the idea that Jesus would return to earth again to take away His loyal subjects with him.
These beliefs are bedrock Biblical.
As for other teachings by Ellen White, they each have Biblical basis for support contained within the Bible.

Thank you for being a voice of reason on this thread. I don’t agree with Beck’s theology, but that doesn’t mean what he’s saying isn’t true. You’re right, if we aren’t uncomfortable about the state of affairs in the world right, there is something wrong.

Well, I WILL remind you that Glenn Beck believes that God chose Joseph Smith to do His bidding. So did Mitt Romney. So did Jon Huntsman. I for one, don't.
If God chose Glenn to do His bidding in this case, I pray HE will keep Glenn from "becoming unspooled"....I'm just not sure HE DID choose Glenn.
