Perfectly Ok. I may be insane but I am neither stupid or clueless. :)

I wonder if any of Keith Ellison’s constituents were involved.

Yes, well-liked Catholics from Southern California who are now Christian Martyrs, they were indeed distributing Bibles. I wonder if the Big Press will report that Muslim pirates executed Christian missionaries?

Waiting.... Sound of crickets

Want Bush back yet?

Obama will do nothing at all. Nothing.

You, I believe are describing a Q-boat and that is one damn good idea. Can we dispatch one to DC, to rid us of the pirates there?

>Did you know that the British used this very tactic back in WWI, for use against U-boats?

Great example.

On August 19, 1915 Lieutenant Godfrey Herbert RN of the HMS Baralong sank U-27, which was preparing to attack a nearby merchant ship.
About a dozen of the U-boat sailors survived and swam towards the merchant ship.
Herbert, allegedly fearing that they might scuttle her, ordered the survivors to be shot in the water and sent a boarding party to kill all who had made it aboard.

This became known as the “Baralong Incident”.

In a total of 150 engagements, British Q-ships destroyed 14 U-boats and damaged 60, at a cost of 27 Q-ships lost out of 200.
Q-ships were responsible for about 10% of all U-boats sunk, ranking them well below the use of ordinary minefields in effectiveness.

However, I have no problem using this tactic against pirates, but no pussified nation in the Western World would do it.
They do not have the balls of T. Roosevelt, let alone do what is needed to save us.

You're wrong. It's not a matter of "balls." You will note that several countries, the US included, have had the balls to deploy their navies in the region. The problem is that they can't protect all of the thousands of ships over that very large area.

Any country that is willing to put a cruiser in the region, would be willing to put in a decoy. It's probably more a matter of inertia and logistics: you've got to build, deploy, and maintain those decoys.

And.... maybe nobody with the authority to do something like this, has heard about or thought of it.

It won’t be reported unless the MSM can figure out how to paint them as radical Catholics who forced their sailing yacht into the path of these poor Islamic sailors just trying to make a living kidnapping infidels.

Oh, baloney. Big deal. Deploying forces that will not be used, ala the British allowing kidnapping of their own Naval personnel from beneath their very noses and guns, means nothing at all if the will to use that force is nonexistent.

Simply proving the Chinese right once again with the paper tiger syndrome, just like Clinton did with the USS Cole.
Great job deploying ships, eh?

We have the means, the forces and the logistics to go in there now, right NOW, and kill every damn pirate for a thousand miles and we don't need any “Q ships.”

You are wrong. - It is lack of balls.

re: sink any boat that leaves Somali territorial waters

Absolutely! We know who they are and the boats they are in. We should handle it the old fashioned way.

They operate from mother ships and those are no match for the firepower we can bring to bear on them.

Rush had a good rant a short while ago about how America is getting its eye poked and its butt kicked at home and abroad these days. Today's America is not the country I grew up in and learned to love and respect.

I just hope we can get someone in oval office in time to recover our reputation around the world.

I don't care if other countries love us or hate us as long as they fear us enough to leave us the hell alone. That's what made us so safe under Reagan and to a lesser extent under Dubya. They were seen as cowboys and those who wished us ill knew they had to think very carefully about yanking our chain. Not so with this panty-waste we have in there right now.

Absolutely, but just look at the fuss that was made when Russia dealt with them in typical Russian fashion, the way everyone used to deal with pirates. Just ask Captain Jack Sparrow!

I admit my initial reaction to their murder was anger and a desire for revenge but I am not sure theses how theses missionary would want us to respond to their murders.

Oh, baloney. Big deal.

It is a big deal. You're just too "manly" to understand it.

You keyboard kommandos are all alike. No time to think, just to yell.

Simply proving the Chinese right once again with the paper tiger syndrome, just like Clinton did with the USS Cole.

I heard a radio news report the U.S. Navy was in negotiations with the pirates when the pirates executed the four Americans.

Rush mentioned America is not being feared anymore and he's right. They have to believe you'll use those weapons of war that you've deployed or they mean nothing and with Obama they know damn well he won't take action.

Its chest pounding.

They were successful with Maersk because they were lucky as well as good. They won’t always be lucky, and when they aren’t innocent people will die.

Asking them to invade Somalia is asking for most if not all of the hostages, and some if not all of the operators, to get killed.
