Has anyone approached him to throw his hat into the ring? This man is born to lead. I would vote for him in a heartbeat.
A thing of beauty! I don’t understand why some of the commenters think LTC West will have to backtrack on anything he said. He was calm and cool and more knowledgeable about the subject at hand than the CAIR instigator. Funny, CAIR always seems to put the most light skinned reps sans any accent in the forefront.
And probably Zero as well. :-)

Colonel West was a recent battlefield commander. Of course he’s going to be very direct. Much preferred over the typical politician weaselspeak. Barry Dunham would get his clock cleaned in a debate, and the telepromter would have a meltdown from the overload.
Given the fact he waxed the floor with this guy, you can expect MSNBC talking heads and their ilk to rehash his Taji, Iraq interrogation incident.
