The House on Friday voted largely along party lines to prohibit funding for the healthcare reform law and eliminate funding for family planning.
In a quick succession of two-minute votes, the House adopted three amendments to their stop-gap budget bill that eliminate healthcare reform funding through the end of the fiscal year. The House also approved, 240-185, an amendment barring federal Title X family planning grants that was aimed squarely at Planned Parenthood.

I think the Republicans FINALLY got the message !!!!!!!!!!
MY GOD THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR THIS COUNTRY!
I don't know whether that money has to be spent or not.
Does the action of one Congress bind the next?
Are we bound by laws passed before 1861?
Still, we need to win the elections in 2012 to kill this law once and for all.
I am sick of the old excuses.
Things may be different in THIS House....that is IF Boehner has any spine to stand up to Reid and his punks in the Senate...............
Remember what happened today when Election 2012 comes.
Right on, my FRiend!
I couldn't have said it better.
“So is the funding cut off or does the bill have to pass other hurdles?”
Many, many other hurdles. But this was the critical first step.
Notice that this newspaper “The Hill” used “healthcare reform law” instead of the more familiar Obamacare. Didn’t the Rats say they found Obamacare offensive and want the press to stop using that term? I guess we know where “The Hill” stands.
Republicans also targeted a key feature of the healthcare law -- the requirement that all Americans carry insurance voting to prohibit funds to the Internal Revenue Service for enforcement. Advocates of the individual mandate say it is designed to keep healthcare costs down by having Americans carry insurance while they are healthy rather than rely on emergency care once they become ill. Opponents call it an overreach of government authority.
"My goal, and the goal of the majority of Americans, is to repeal the new healthcare law," said Rehberg, who has announced his candidacy for the Senate in 2012, challenging Democratic Sen. Jon Tester."
Do these guy's mean business, or what?
House votes to block funds for healthcare law

Old So-and-So voted against the [fill in the blank]!...........

A Line in the sand must be drawn. Liberty or death. Although in this case its Liberty or debt. lol

Funding for the Czars has also been halted!!!
http://nation.foxnews.com/obama-czars/2011/02/17/house-votes-block-czar-funding
...along with funding for Net Neutrality!
Actually, I think we are in an even stronger position than you think. Because the House has to approve the budget. Meaning that if the House does not vote to fund Obamacare then by default it is not funded. Obama and the Senate can threaten to veto the budget and thus cause a government shutdown untill someone blinks. However, until the house votes to fund it, Obamacare will not be funded.
Excellent, excellent news!
