Can you think of anyone better to be chairman of the committee overseeing the fed?
You may be right
he may be crazy
Oh but it just might be a loooonatic
we’re looking for
to audit the Fed.
To maintain movement unity and get rid of the obvious looney-tunes that make us look bad.
Just like you cut out a cancerous tumor, you cut out fringe kooks. Ron Paul is a fringe kook. I was convinced of that when he came up with the quaint 18th Century idea of using Letters of Marque to arrest and try terrorists.
Eh, isn’t a Scriptural point a view on the defense of Israel derived from the notion that she should rely on only the Lord, and herself, for her own defense?
Must admit I struggle with that notion myself, however the OT is rife with reliance on Foreign Power being one of the things that signals that Israel is in deep deep trouble?
Huh?
How does being against sending US dollars overseas make one a ‘vicious anti-semite’???
Does voting against Obama make you a ‘vicious racist’?
I am 100% in support of Israel, and NOT a huge Paul supporter, but I hate when they toss names like this around.
I like his IDEAS but I dont want him to run for Pres.
The Left has their Larouchers, and we will always have our Paultards. But there isn't a hairs width of difference between the two.
Remember the St. Louis? Let's offer real help this time.
When has Ron Paul ever characterized the US and Israel as the Great Satan and the Little Satan? This smells like more of Horowitz’s over-the-top attacks. He disagrees with Paul; fine, but imputing Iran-style rhetoric to an opponent is gross hysteria and justifiable only if founded on the hardest of facts.
Along with the truly hateful PDSers as well.
My understanding is that in the End,
Israel will stand alone
FOR THE VERY REASON
that she’ll have to turn to God for salvation.
In the mean time, I believe “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you” still stands.
There’s a book out called “As We Have Done to Israel” that details the disasters that have happened to America when we’ve done them dirty.
Probably for pro-life and tax policy reasons.
Exactly, Paul is far more of a LPer than a Conservative, Neo or otherwise, but why is he aligned with the Rs and not the Ds?
He believes those policies more closely mirror the intent of the founders than the current over taxation and international adventurism we currently practice. Fiscal liberty and an avoidance of foreign entanglements are not necessary bad things.
Ron Paul is a crackpot. Like Pat Buchanan, if he isn’t anti-Semitic, he is such a close clone that there is little difference.
Rand Paul, I don’t know. But the apple never falls far from the tree.
This sort of thinking scares me. Muslim countries have obligation because they are Muslim. Christian countries have obligations because they are Christian. The Jewish country has obligations because they are Jewish and on and on and on.
We have obligations because we are free people. Believing a country must act in a certain way because of a certain religion is UnAmerican.
He might be a kook, but he will vote to slash your taxes, kill ObamaCare, investigate the Fed. Reserve, put up a border fence, end the welfare state, define life at conception, and keep the gun grabbing a**holes like Rudy and Mitt at bay.
“Goldwater also wanted to purge the Christian Right. Smart man.”
OK Pissant, I am taking that one personally.
Take the Christian Right out of the Republicans and what do you have left?
Country Club Republicans and Libertarians, that’s what.
I don’t disagree with that. Ron Paul and his ilk are oblivious about the Islamic threat. I like isolationism but the world will be coming at us even if we disengage completely. So we must engage and make friends instead of just signing business contracts with foreigners
Libertarians think everything can be reduced to commerce
Like I said>>> Ron Pauls followers are much worse than him. Half are illogical (911 was an inside job) potheads going on about “false flag operations”. A phrase they never heard of a few months ago.
Well, let me put it this way, if simply supporting/not supporting the state of Israel is or is not anti-semitic, it’s more complicated than that. I am genuinely concerned with this state of Israel because biblically, relying on foreign alliances was not a good sign for the Lord’s people, such as allying with Egypt. I understand well that they are among the most liberal nations in the Middle East now, but how we deal with them as allies is certainly debatable, IMHO, questions have to be asked about that, and we may have to consider the details of how we do it.
As far as Ron Paul goes, it’s all a question of how voters go regarding him. They didn’t choose him in the past election, and I honestly believe his electoral results can handle whatever problems may arise regarding him.
Oh yeah, Ron Paul is such a hater for wanting to keep your tax dollars at home!
roll eyes for the tone-deaf
Do you mean "believing OUR country must..."
And if so, what do you base this assertion on?
I was being sarcastic.
