No, Congress got the blame because it was a Republican Congress. Same thing will happen now because we have moonbat media.
Read a post last night (can’t remember who) who said she(?) was a gov’t contractor during the last shut down. Government employees were sent home (without pay) but other than that it was business as usual. Oh, and when they employees came back their pay was retroactive. So they had a two week vacation compliments of the taxpayers.
My memory is that ws when Bill and Monica hooked up...over pizza, IIRC.

They’d better have a shutdown; if they don’t it means they did not get enough cuts.

I think revenue collection and general repression are excluded from the shutdown. Naturally, the shutdown doesn’t include mandatory spending, so welfare checks will continue indefinitely.

No, actually the REPUBLICANS got the blame, when Clinton vetoed the bill the House of Reps had passed to fund the government. This was under Newt Gingrich, in 1995, as I recall. Clinton vetoed the funding bill, but the Republicans were blamed by the state-run media.
I’m 200% for a shutdown...
But honestly, I don’t think the current Repub leadership has the balls to play it right.
Thus, I think Zero and his MSM lapdogs will win if there is a shutdown.
Sad... I wish it were otherwise...
