A new poll shows just over half of likely Republican primary voters question where President Obama was born. What’s up with “birtherism” and why does it have such staying power?
The evidence shows Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama released a “Certification of Live Birth,” a document produced by the state of Hawaii certifying the state holds records that a person was born there.
Further, two Hawaiian newspaper announcements from 1961 tell of Obama’s birth. Janice Okubo, a spokeswoman for the Hawaii Department of Health, told the Honolulu Advertiser in July 2009 that such newspaper announcements were based on notifications from the Health Department, which received information directly from hospitals.
The certification of live birth Obama released is legally sufficient documentation to apply for a U.S. passport, but it’s not the same thing as a “long form” birth certificate, called a “Certificate of Live Birth” in Hawaii. That document is issued by hospitals and includes additional information not on the certification.

True, Obama doesn't have to incriminate himself, but wasn't somebody somewhere supposed to vet his qualifications to run as President? This is the sort of thing that should lead to cries of "Reform!"

I really wonder what would be the best way to capitalize upon the birther issues concerning Obama/Soetoro.
Buy several thousand T-shirts and have them silk screened, and then put them up for sale on Ebay and Amazon?
Create several dozen types of bumper stickers, hat logos or just some simple flags?
Either while obama is squatting in the Whitehouse or after he leaves there will be a very productive and profitable market selling items about his possible four year usurpation as POTUS.
Members of any political party will want to show their opinions as it is blatantly apparent obama is rapidly losing his support base, even his most staunch loyalists are probably looking for Sarah Palin plates right now.
And then there is the book market, a TV series and who knows maybe a major motion picture.
All I can say is that America will jump on the opportunity to make money about all of obamas mistakes, his lack of a verifiable past and of course his dual citizenship and loyalties.
You cannot leak that which does not exist.

Obama has played you for a real mark. There's NO birth certificate. There's a fake one -- or maybe a few different versions of fake ones -- placed with shills.Those birth announcements from two papers, are you really sure of them. I am not. One person from each hospital, from the timeframe that BO was allegedly born.
The Daily Caller is another RINO POS pub.
The afterbirthers say the health department was responsible for placing birth announcements.
They do this to counter the argument that a family member could have placed BO’s birth announcement.
Have we seen the birth announcements for the Nordike twins?
