I am a 50 yrs male who is horrified at the direction out great country has taken. I do maintenance and laborer for our local boro(yes I live in PA.)but seldom do I get to hear the voices of people such as myself and my fellow conservatives.
OK, good luck with your project. I wish you well.
I like it. We need more exposure. The left is hogging it.
There’s still a lot of people who listen mostly to radio.
I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning operas, I manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row.
I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru.
Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, I once single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I play bluegrass cello, I was scouted by the Mets, I am the subject of numerous documentaries. When I'm bored, I build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after school, I repair electrical appliances free of charge.
I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of corduroy evening wear. I don't perspire. I am a private citizen, yet I receive fan mail. I have been caller number nine and have won the weekend passes. Last summer I toured New Jersey with a traveling centrifugal-force demonstration. I bat .400. My deft floral arrangements have earned me fame in international botany circles. Children trust me.
I can hurl tennis rackets at small moving objects with deadly accuracy. I once read Paradise Lost, Moby Dick, and David Copperfield in one day and still had time to refurbish an entire dining room that evening. I know the exact location of every food item in the supermarket. I have performed several covert operations for the CIA. I sleep once a week; when I do sleep, I sleep in a chair. While on vacation in Canada, I successfully negotiated with a group of terrorists who had seized a small bakery. The laws of physics do not apply to me.
I balance, I weave, I dodge, I frolic, and my bills are all paid. On weekends, to let off steam, I participate in full-contact origami. Years ago I discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down. I have made extraordinary four course meals using only a mouli and a toaster oven. I breed prizewinning clams. I have won bullfights in San Juan, cliff-diving competitions in Sri Lanka, and spelling bees at the Kremlin. I have played Hamlet, I have performed open-heart surgery, and I have spoken with Elvis.
But, Although I have been to a college, I have never been bitten by a moose. Although, my sister was once. It hurt. She cried and everything.

Thanks to the hard work of members of the FreeRepublic Network, Webcast "RadioFR" will be broadcast every Thursday at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT! Our inaugural show will be rolled out and launched this Thursday, September 27th! "Unspun with AnnaZ" with co-host "Mercuria" will be hosting and discussing pertinent and topical issues with their usual irreverence and wit, and, they will be taking calls from listeners!
In addition, we have shows lined up with hosts CongressmanBillyBob ("Twash and Twiddle" from Free Republic's own CyberCongressman!), Sussa ("On Target with John Bender"...2nd Amendment issues), TLBSHOW ("Leashing the Attack Dogs"...keeping an eye on DNC attack chihuahuas, Registered ("Free Republic's HTML and Graphics Cyber Cafe"), and are reviewing proposals from "Doug From Upland", "IronJack", "TrueBlackMan" and a few others! In the future we are planning on adding features such as interviews, townhalls, remote broadcasts and debates!
To listen to the shows you must have Windows Media Player. We suggest you download the latest version and I've been told there is a version for Mac's. The show host will be posting a notice prior to each broadcast with instructions (basically a couple of clicks!), but, if you don't see it, this is all you have to do to access the shows!
1. Go to http://www.theotherradionetwork.com/pgs/schedule.htm
2. Find the "RadioFR" logo on the schedule and click!
3. Wait for your Windows Media player to come up and FReep while you enjoy the show!
If any FReepers have suggestions, an idea for a segment or guest, or are interested in submitting a proposal for a show of your own, get your ideas together and we will be accepting applications shortly! If you are interested in discussing ideas with segment producers, FReepmail to these people...
Serial Show Producer - Diotima
Interviews and Townhalls - The Shrew and Ironjack
Debates - Sussa
Remote Broadcasts - Doughtyone
General questions can be submitted to myself (Bob J) or Ms. AntiFeminazi (Scheduling Manager and Show Coordinator)!

PAAAALLLIIINNNNN!!!

The nice thing about having FreeRepublic forums is that it provides an immediate source of dialogue on hundreds of threads simultaneously. If I am fired up about "x", I can go get involved in the conversation while others can carry on conversations about "y". With talk radio programs, you are at the mercy of the host and their particular interest at the moment, combined with the nature of participants. Why spend one hour limited to one topic or news item when here at FR, you can monitor and be involved with as many as you want simultaneously?
Conservatism is a multi-faceted belief system. On any given day, there are hundreds of topics that arise that are of interest to all or some Conservatives. You are limited with talk media to a very limited number of these things daily, thus cutting the number of people who may be interested in your chosen list at any given time. I admire your motivation to get involved and be active for the cause. Perhaps you can find Tea-Party groups who are in the early stages of doing what you propose - put your energy into a group undertaking that is building an involved base. Just my 2 cents worth.
But people here like in many places are more into the latest sport trend or what the government can do for them. Doesn't mean I am not going to keep talking to people here locally just sometimes get frustrating talking to people who think gov. owes them something or that Obama is great.
I think you should donate the money to me, and tithe to
Jim Thompson 10%.
I like green eggs and ham, SamsFriend I am.
I say go for it...worst thing that happens is, it doesn’t go too far...but at least you gave it a shot.
Did you forget agitator? He is the one that made it work.
Welcome to Free Republic.
I had forgotten about him.
Cheers!
I’ve been thinking about doing my first vanity. Maybe I’ll do it after I’ve been here a while.
This is hugh and series!
The left is hogging radio?
