Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) , a conservative libertarian group founded in 1960 at the estate of William F. Buckley, expelled Rep. Ron Paul, Texas Republican, from their advisory board on Saturday. The organization released the following statement on Saturday afternoon:
The National Board of Young Americans for Freedom (YAF)America's oldest conservative-libertarian activist grouphas, per curium, voted to purge Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) from YAFs National Advisory Board.
YAFs concern with Rep. Paul stems from his delusional and disturbing alliance with the fringe Anti-War movement.
It is a sad day in American history when a one-time conservative-libertarian stalwart has fallen more out of touch with Americas needs for national security than the current feeble and appeasing administration, said YAFs Senior National Director Jordan Marks.
Who would have ever thought that we would see the day when YAF was more aligned with the Obama administration than a formerly conservative Republican congressman? Rep. Paul's refusal to support our nations military and national security interests border on treason, aside from his failure to uphold his oath to the United States Constitution and defend our country and citizens against all enemies, foreign and domestic, Marks continued.
SNIP
YAF National Chairman Michael Jones issued the following statement on this issue:
SNIP Freedom and prosperity cannot peacefully exist alongside radical Islam. It is unfortunate that Ron Paul--a member of the U.S. Congress-- does not understand this. Surely, our enemies do.

There you go projecting YOURSELF again.
Oh and another thing skippy, when and where did I lie about your widdle heerow?
Everything I said about him came straight from his own mouth, FEC filings, or earmark requests.
Short term memory loss, eh? You said he supported NAFTA.
As for "heerows," I do have a few heroes. My dad was a gunner's mate on the USS Suwanee. My fnl flew a PBY recovering down fighter pilots, under hostile fire, in the south pacific. My step dad, a ground pounder, enter Dachau on April 29, 1945. My aunt, serving in the Red Cross, restored the Burger Brau Kellar in Munich, to convert it to a USO for servicemen and women. These are my heroes.
If there are any "heerows" in your family, I will be more than glad to hear you out. Perhaps you have some?
As for me, I am a Nam era veteran, serving in the US Marine Corps 1969-1973. Now, tell me about your "heerows." And please, try to do so without making it up, or out right lying. Since, as you already know, I will know when you are lying.
He earmarked money for the I69 project which is known as the Trans Texas Corridor AKA “The NAFTA Superhighway”.

Your heerow earmarked 13 million for it back in 2007
My great grandfather was a Navy Salvage diver who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor, and helped in the recovery of the USS West Virginia.
My grandfather was an Artillery Officer in WW2 and served in the ETO.
My other grandfather was in the Army during the Korean War.
My grandmother’s aunt was in the WAC in WW2 stationed in Italy.
My father did 2 tours in Vietnam once with HHC 3rd Bde, 82nd Abn and another with D Co, 1/12 CAV 1st Cav, and 3 of my 7 uncles also served there.
My father in law is a Marine.
A close family friend Bob Murphy was a Pathfinder in WW2.
Neither of your links provide anything regarding earmarks placed by RP in support of NAFTA.
I’ll take your word for your relative’s service. I am thankful for their honorable service to our nation.
However, I did note you failed to mention your own personal service, in our Armed Forces. While I won’t hold that against you, it does expose a difference between us.
I took the oath to defend the Constitution of the United States, and to defend America from enemies both foreign and domestic. I intend to keep my oath. I also intend to defend truth from lies.
So, what about those links you provided? What do either have to do with earmarks for NAFTA?
If you can point them out in the links you provided, where a direct reference to your charge exists, I would like to review them. I didn’t see any.
Wanna try again?
Those links were to explain what the I69 project was.
The I69 project is also known as the NAFTA Superhighway.
If he’s so dead set against NAFTA, then WHY did he earmark money for a highway that would benefit NAFTA?
Here is a link to where it’s been discussed:

Note that there are other Freeper’s who stated in the above thread that he earmarked money for the project that I mentioned above.
Are they lying too?
As far as my service, all one has to do is look at my profile page.
My only regret is not staying in, but I sure as hell wasn’t going to get railroaded by the Retention NCO by going to where HE wanted me to go for my next duty station.
I took the same oath that you took, and I don’t recall anything that said that upon separation from the military that I would no longer have to honor that oath.
It is because of the oath I took that I firmly believe that ALL politicians who have been in office for two or more terms needs to be thrown out on their collective a$$es, stripped of their benefits, and barred for life from holding any elected or appointed public sector job to include lobbying..... And those are the ones who are not serving prison time for the willful destruction of our Constitution, our country, and our way of life they have caused over the years.
We might agree on this one. Though, I might add pay and benefits not to exceed median income for working class folk.
That said, I'm still not making the connection where RP was a proponent of NAFTA. I realize you have tried several times with links and etc, but it's not there.
Meanwhile, I don't doubt other freepers have discussed it. But, to my knowledge, no one proved he was a proponent of NAFTA. Not even in his earmarks.
