YAF National Board Expels Ron Paul From Advisory Board
The Washington Times ^ | Saturday, February 12, 2011 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 02/12/2011 6:18:30 PM PST by kristinn

Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) , a conservative libertarian group founded in 1960 at the estate of William F. Buckley, expelled Rep. Ron Paul, Texas Republican, from their advisory board on Saturday. The organization released the following statement on Saturday afternoon:

The National Board of Young Americans for Freedom (YAF)—America's oldest conservative-libertarian activist group—has, per curium, voted to purge Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) from YAF’s National Advisory Board.

YAF’s concern with Rep. Paul stems from his delusional and disturbing alliance with the fringe Anti-War movement.

“It is a sad day in American history when a one-time conservative-libertarian stalwart has fallen more out of touch with America’s needs for national security than the current feeble and appeasing administration,” said YAF’s Senior National Director Jordan Marks.

“Who would have ever thought that we would see the day when YAF was more aligned with the Obama administration than a formerly conservative Republican congressman? Rep. Paul's refusal to support our nation’s military and national security interests border on treason, aside from his failure to uphold his oath to the United States Constitution and defend our country and citizens against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” Marks continued.

SNIP

YAF National Chairman Michael Jones issued the following statement on this issue:

SNIP “Freedom and prosperity cannot peacefully exist alongside radical Islam. It is unfortunate that Ron Paul--a member of the U.S. Congress-- does not understand this. Surely, our enemies do.”

Why do these hacks that rule us (both Parties) continue to demonstrate a knack of supporting corrupt governments while getting us involved in multiple costly wars that for the most part have nothing to do with our national defense?

National defense is much more than using our military and waging war. It used to be said that the USA would face economic warfare. No one paid attention.

Our elected leaders had an obligation to defend the USA and its economy (just like our borders) , but instead they enriched international corporations and global bankers, who cared nothing about the USA, our sovereignty, and our Constitution? In truth they’d prefer we had no borders or Constitution to get in the way of competitive global strategies and boundless illegal immigrants.

Unions and regulations are irrelevant to the issue of outsourcing. Our economic decline was due to elected leaders who failed to defend the USA, and instead gave our economy to China and others along with creating a powerful military foe and a competitor for natural resources.

It was not the union’s job to give up their wages so that they could compete with Chinese slave labor at 10 cents an hour. It was Congress’s job to create a trade environment that would result in balanced trade that served the security of Americans and America long term. In my opinion these traitors in both Parties should be retroactively put on trial for high crimes and treason. If this was about getting the unions, then we (no they in Congress) cut our nose off to spite our face.

You may not be old enough to remember, but in 1960 we Americans were proud that our country was the most powerful manufacturing economy on Earth; many countries in the world were still financially indebted to the USA; and we touted our farms and food production as the bread basket to the world. Yet our corrupt leaders gave it all away. Was it due to incompetence or was it on purpose, because our elected officials no longer served the USA but instead those who profited on our decline?

Yes, and he quite clearly noted that it was "at this time" or similar (I don't recall the specific words, but that's the essence) and for "reconstruction" of Israel. He laid that out quite clearly, implying he favored temporary support.
Fair enough. However, I don't think he would see Hamas as the legitimate government of the Palestinians as Paul does.

Perhaps, though I don't think I know of any Taft supporters, myself. Do you?
I know self-styled ones. None of them are old enough to have done so during his life time.

Why are we, the most indebted nation on Earth (USA), borrowing money to give to other countries?

Bingo!

The idea of the "Rich Americans" helping these countries is ludicrous. Heck, in "less enlightened" times, we'd be demanding tribute to help pay for our empire.

Those pretending that we can isolate ourselves from foreign affairs and that radical Islamic killers are no danger are just another incarnation of that spirit.

We need to regroup. Acknowledge, and define the enemy. Then destroy it, with extreme prejudice.

Speaking of pretending, prancing around the globe, playing world policeman, is not the answer. Removing one dictator to replace him with another considered more favorable to our interests is not the answer. Purple thumbs, notwithstanding. Since in nations where the majority are muslims, elections or no, it's still, first and foremost, a theocracy. To pretend otherwise is delusional.

It is equally delusional to pretend we can distinguish who is moderate, and who is radical, especially in nations of Islam. Since the muslim once believed friendly, becomes radical when he straps on his/her death vest, or from his apt, fires an rpg into your camp, or plants a roadside bomb,or fires his AK47 at your patrol from a "safe" position.

Many of us know exactly who the enemy is. But our leadership has yet to acknowledge them, at least not publicly. I note you also defined the enemy as "radical Islamic killers". Here's a clue, there is no such thing as a "moderate" muslim. Since so called "moderate" muslims are allowing the so called "radical" muslims to do their bidding. Lying in wait til the time is ripe, to come out of the closet.

I remain convinced once muslims have the necessary numbers within our borders, our decendants will witness the proverbial fecal matter hit the fan. It could be prevented. But it's gonna take leadership willing to do what is absolutely necessary.

Did you know, that even today, hundreds or thousands of visas are being issued to muslims, from known terrorist nations, to enter America? Who here, besides me, sees the insanity of this?

I understand there were two camps. But, I ain’t buying the line that none of the US billions, nor none of the weapons supplied with those billions, never found it’s way to the UBL mujahideen camp.

Besides, they don’t call’em covert ops for nothing. Meantime, you are free to believe as you wish.

Personally I would stop ALL immigration immediately. But that ain’t going to happen.

My view of Moslems is that most are born into a religion and culture and give it lip service like most Christians who claim to be Christians then live like non-Christians. However, one must have great courage to confront Islamaniacs since they will kill you and most Moslems, like most people, are not that courageous. Since we desperately need their oil we must walk a fine line in dealing with them whether we like it or not.

There is no real need to regroup since most of the problems in attacking our enemies do not come from the enemies outside the nation but from the domestic enemies, like Ron Paul and the Democrats. Get rid of the Democrat party and we would have little difficulty in putting our enemies where we want them.

It was the democrats who gave it all away because they were taken over by he communists back in the 1960’s.

That is why the democrats shove every piece of legislation down our throats knowing full well that their regulations, mandates, and laws weaken us.

It was democrats who pushed us over the entitlement cliff.

And it's funny that you support that village idiot from TX-14 since he's even earmarked money in the past for the I-59/TTC/NAFTA “Superhighway”.

Not to mention the earmarks to install security cameras, as well as Lojacking children with RFID chips (FY09 IIRC)

Like I said before, he plays lip service to the “causes” that he supports and the clueless sheeple who get all misty when they hear him speak either don't know, don't care, or flat out refuse to acknowledge the reality that ron paul is a hypocrite.

Paul is opposed to NAFTA. Paul would never support chips, nor cams, and has not.

To post such an outrageous deception like your above, you must be associated with, or at the least, support the marxists who warn law enforcement to BOLO:

"Page 7 of the report (Nappie's report) warns law enforcement that “militia members most commonly associate with 3rd party political groups. It is not uncommon for militia members to display Constitutional (sic) Party, Campaign for Liberty or Libertarian material. These members are usually supporters of former presidential candidate(s) Ron Paul Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr.”

This explains your position on Paul. BOLO Paul, he's a Constitutionalist. Do not attempt to apprehend alone. Call for back-up.

I’d hardly call spew rockwell a credible source of any information.

Hell, the north korean news agency is probably far more credible than that foaming at the mouth moonbat that you cited..... At least the norks can get what planet they’re from correct.

I’ve worked in political campaigns all across the US and can say that libertarians, by and large, promote an amoral, morally-baseless ideology.

Forget the source. The link I provided was written by RP. If you bothered to read it, you would know that. And, you would know you are lying. Scratch that, you already know you're lying. Course, so does everyone else who has an inkling of knowledge. Not that you would care. But, to some, credibility is important.

You have ZERO credibility. How does it feel to be in the same category as Obama? ZERO!

Then I guess you get out enough, so perhaps you need to get to different places—or improve your observational skills.
I do notice that you’ve changed the parameters of your original claim—
“every single” vs. “by and large”
“Libertarian” vs. “libertarians”
—but the fact remains, if you have met few moral libertarians, then you haven’t had the experience I’ve had.

But maybe that’s partly because I had a good Christian upbringing and believe that authoritarianism is immoral. Nowhere did Jesus advocate running to the Romans to force behavior on others—if someone disagreed, the advice was to shake off the dust and move on, not send in the government.

The only one with ZERO credibility is YOU.

Take the damn blinders off and maybe you’ll see that your heerow is nothing more than a CAREER POLITICIAN who only cares about getting re-elected so he can keep sucking from the government teat.

He doesn’t give two sh*ts about you, his other followers or the people he claims to represent.

You paulies are worse than those mouth breathers who support 0bama.... At least they have remorse about voting for him.

Most libertarians (big L or small l) adhere to the atheistic teachings of people like Ayn Rand. So much for a good Christian philosophy based on morals.

No parsing of words, in my view, either through ignorance of the core principles and philosophy or by fully understanding, all libertarians promote a philosophy of anarchism that runs counter to the moral need to have a society of laws, which keeps in check the sinful nature of all mankind.

If you believe that man is basically good, then you’d be a good anarchist/libertarian. Strangely enough, you have to believe man is basically good to be a good socialist.

Man is basically a sinful creature. A society of laws is needed, libertarians don’t agree with that. They favor borderline anarchy.

I am not a "paulie." I have never voted for him in my life. But, if I lived in Galveston, I might. Since I admit I like his positions on the federal reserve, and freedom.

What I am is a defender of truth. When I see a lie, I will expose the liar.

I have studied RP for years. So I know when someone lies regarding his record. You lied. So, like Obama, you have ZERO credibility.

“I am not a “paulie.”

Lie number 1, because you sure do distort the truth as one of his groupies would in defending him.

“I have studied RP for years. So I know when someone lies regarding his record.”

You just lied again.

IF and that is a huge if you have done as you claimed then you would see that he is nothing more than a CAREER POLITICIAN who just spews talking points to pull the wool over the eyes of the sheeple who worship him.

EVERYTHING I have said about him is based on HIS record.

Your heerow sent in 41 earmark requests totaling $157,093,544 for the 2011 Fiscal Year.

For FY10, he requested 54 total earmarks, adding up to $398,460,640 in pork.

I could go on, but you’ll just ignore the truth.

Here is more TRUTH about your heerow:

He’s a loon who associates with America hating anti-semites such as willis carto. Over the years your heerow’s columns have been featured in ‘American Free Press’, who’s owned by carto. AFP’s bookclub recommends books that glorify the nazi-ss, and have compared Auschwitz to that of a resort.

Your heerow refused to return a donation from stormfront founder don black.

A link to your heerow’s campaign was featured on stormfront’s website

Then on Oct 11th, stormfront radio endorsed your heerow.

One of your heerow’s top internet organizers is known as “white will” williams, who happens to be the southern coordinator for one of the largest neo-nazi groups in the country.

There were links to your heerow’s presidential campaign posted on the white supremist site ‘vanguard news network’.

david duke has called your heerow “our king” on his website

Then there is his connection to the America hating “truthers” like alex jones.

Then there is his ties to cindy sheehan and her congressional campaign as well as other America hating liberal groups such as code pink and howard dean’s ‘Democracy for America’.

Oh, david duke and stormfront also have ties to cindy sheehan too.

I could go on about this too but once again you’ll put your blinders on, stick your fingers in your ears, run around in circles screeching LA LA LA LA as you once again deny the TRUTH about that lying CAREER POLITICIAN that you worship.

So once again the only one who has lied is YOU.

Sometimes I cross paths with folk who fail to have the quality of rational reasoning. Then, sometimes I cross paths with someone who not only lacks the ability to think rationally, but willfully resorts to lies in order to sustain their reality. To them, the truth is their enemy. Here is where truth and reality are in conflict with with a kabal of pre-conceived notions.

What I find in these cases, is their capacity to connect the dots has been restricted by circuitry overload. When this occurs, manifestations of derelict behavior, most likely suppressed for years, gives logic the boot. This is when the lies and distortions begin.

It’s a juicy compensation for those afflicted. It makes them feel better about themselves. But,sooner or later, they will have to look at themselves in the mirror.
