From the BBC:
-A huge crowd has gathered in Cairo's Tahrir Square for Friday prayers and a mass demonstration against Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak.
-Mr Mubarak defied protesters on Thursday, vowing to hold on to power until presidential elections in September.
-His speech drew a strong response from US President Barack Obama, who said Egypt needed a "clear and unequivocal" transition of power.

Egypt Uprising - Foreign Minister Abu Al-Gheit Slams U.S. Administration for Interfering in Egypts Affairs:
The question is not whether or not the latest American position pleases me. Ultimately, they have realized the need to conduct these major transformations gradually and on the basis of a roadmap with clear goals, guarantees, and phases. They were using the word now. They said: You must do it now! But they changed their position...
When someone says to me now, immediately, and whatever, I say to him: Boy, go play somewhere else. We will do everything according to the interests of our people and country.
.... It got to the point that whoever wants to gain points in his own country, and to give a show back home that he is a progressive-leftist-democratic-whatever, ....

That explains why there are none in the mob.
ABC now reporting the rumors that Mubarak left Egypt. Hmmmmm, sounds like rumors from yesterday that Mubarak was stepping down....we saw how that turned out.
Boy, go play somewhere else.
Oh my..... That is NOT going to go over well in The Whitehouse.
And I wonder what our media will do with it. The whole interview is such a slap that they USUALLY would simply ignore it, but I bet they cannot resist that quote : |
A whole lotta truth in the interview...
May God give us strength.

I thought ODumbo is against intervening in the internal affairs of other countries. Oh wait, that only applies to radical Muslim countries that have instilled strict Sharia Law. ODumbo can't hear the cries for freedom in those countries even when millions of citizens take to the streets and cry for help as they are killed and beaten.
There ya have it! With the imams, and their useful idiots in the media and the White House, the protests will be perpetuated by the long term media coverage and the open mouth, insert foot diplomacy of the administration!
BTW, why does Foxnews have to carry the crowd noise over their broadcasters?
Put all muslim bro hood in the pyramids in a deep chamber..
El Baradei wrote an op-ed in today’s NYT- pitiful- he can’t help himself fawning over Obamba:
The tipping point came with the Tunisian revolution, which sent a powerful psychological message: Yes, we can. These young leaders are the future of Egypt.

Breaking News: Israeli Military Sources Say President Mubarak Leaves Cairo for Sharm el-Sheikh
(Amazing- confirmed by Israel- not Egypt!!!)
“Breaking News: Israeli Military Sources Say President Mubarak Leaves Cairo for Sharm el-Sheikh”
As usual, one step ahead of the terrorists.
Not a stupid man, I bet Abu knew exactly what he said. The Egyptians know how to get under obie's skin.
It is a combination of extreme slant in favor of the demonstrators and Muslim Brotherhood, and at other times it is total ignorance, such as trying to overinterpret regular daily noon prayers but doing so incorrectly.
The nerve of them to call Nile TV or Egypt TV (State TV) as propaganda pieces telling only one side of the story. CNN is also telling only one other side.
Their interviews with friendly (to crowds) academics or with demonstrators themselves is very coddling and softball and supportive (you almost get the feeling when the shut the cameras off in the crowd, they must hug and high five each other), and on the other hand, when they RARELY have Egyptian government spokespeople on, they rudely badger them to death, not listening to a word they say, signing off sarcastically.
These people are TOTALLY in the can for the crowds in the streets and with, as the must hope, the emerging Muslim Brotherhood dominance. My wont they just love a stampede and people crushed to death? This CNN knows no SHAME.
Well, he did say he wasn’t going to leave Egypt. Sounds like he’s somewhat retiring along the coast, for now.
“I thought ODumbo is against intervening in the internal affairs of other countries.”
He DID say something like that.....before he also tried to meddle in Honduran political affairs. Anyone know where an official quote can be found?
Shep Smith is whining quite mightily about the peaceful protesters and that horrible Mubarak—
OReilly too....it’s getting embarassing.
i made the mistake of watching some of them yesterday- on two occasions in a 30 second period anderson hooper called mubarek a liar...
Awake here, coffee in hand. Thanks for the thread.
