I really liked him. I hope we can get a good conservative to replace him.

Gotta wonder what’s going around. Webb, Kyl, the idiot Lee, all in less than 24 hours?

I have the most horrible feeling they may try and get Giffords husband or someone involved in the shootings to run for this on the rat side. I would not put it past them to try it.

I am not so sure. Arizona re-elected Juan McLame just a few months ago.

John Kyl is one of the best in the Senate.
This is a shame.

Bad news. Yes, the RATS will make a play for this seat. Damn it!

They completely will. That was absolutely my first thought and why we’ve had nothing but propaganda since the shootings.
This timing is too suspicious.
When so many nurses were gunned down at the U of A Nursing School, there was nothing much said. So many other daily examples here in Tucson, but all they do is advertise their most favored victims on a daily basis (like the astronaut).

This is Arizona, I can't see any Rat taking this seat. The only one who would have a snowball's chance would be Gabby Giffords out of sympathy for her. However, she'll be lucky to be able to function normally for the rest of her life, much less run a campaign IMO. I hope they put up Sherrif Dupnik. That would be a hoot!
To: ilgipper
Both Giffords and Napolitano are possibilities. Giffords would be much more problemmatic. Word is that Napolitano is already making calls.
Jan Brewer is term-limited and may go for the seat. Shadegg would be much stronger than Flake in a general election campaign.
If Brewer wants to run, the GOP should clear the field for her.

3 terms. Good or bad, that’s long enough.

There is not one person, no matter who he or she is, who some will ever approve of to replace Mr. Kyl. The Freeper haters will never approve anyone who has ever been seen talking to a liberal, asked a question that they interpret as meaning the person has turned liberal, voted for legislation they personally disagree with or appeared in a photo with a liberal. Freeper haters seem to imbue themselves with the wisdom of God, believe they speak for every Conservative and hate everyone who does not agree, point-for-point, with their own beliefs.
I think they are a really sick bunch of puppies.

Four terms in the house, 3 terms in the Senate.
Maybe he is one of the sane ones who think 25 years in government is enough.
It’ll be interesting to see who Arizona comes up with to replace him. Another pro-illegal aisle crosser?
