Former Minnesota GOP Chairman Ron Carey, who served a brief stint as U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmanns chief of staff, has told the Associated Press that she's not ready for the White House.
The quote, coming on the eve of Bachmann's keynote speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., is not likely to help her in Saturdays presidential straw poll, which also includes former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty.
"While she passes the conservative test, my opinion from my association with her is she's not going to be an electable candidate for us," Carey told AP reporter Brian Bakst.

Imagine that....
FYI
How come it’s only the women who aren’t ready to be president?
Neither is Barry but Ronnie doesn’t seem to have a problem with that. Barry is even flunking his OJT.
At least the woman knows her ass from a hole in the ground, something I couldn’t say for 99% of the politicians in the D. C. these days.
WAS OBOZO SOETERO “READY”? GIVE ME A BREAK.
He usually says: FWIW! lol!
Seriously I love Bachmann and I believe she isn’t running for President but raising her profile
who served a brief stint as U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmanns chief of staff-
Guess we can see why it was a brief stint.
I think we have to listen to folks who’ve actually worked with and know the candidates. We can weight their comments and opinions. Some may be aligned with another candidate, or bitter after a feud, others on target.
Some things I like about Bachmann and am perfectly happy to have her in the mix and to learn more. But what does qualify her, or any other candidate, to be POTUS, other than any of them would be better than the totally unqualified guy who’s in office now?
I'm undecided on Bachmann, but that's not exactly an unbiased source.
If I had to bet money, I think Bachmann's decision on running will be determined by how Minnesota redistricting happens. Bachmann's district was democrat before 2000.
Wow, she’s not ready. But a coke snorting, dope smoking marxist drop out lawyer who organized communities (and not very well reportedly) was ready in 2008. Obviously the bar is set much lower for libs...
I like Palin and I agree with about Bachmann 90% of the time, maybe more. I have heard her on Mark Levin and even though I think she has the mental acumen to be President, I don’t think she is particularly ready. To me she comes across as being - for lack of a better word - “whinny”.
“How come its only the women who arent ready to be president?”
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the good ole boys ought to spend their time criticizing Obama.
I have come out and supported Palin, even before she was a household name.
whinny
Is that a word?
;-)
Right, you are.....
If Michelle were to be one of the Socialist/Leftist types? She could be a community organizing/law con-man and constitutional liar. If so her qualifications would not be questioned.
If obama was ready to be president...EVERYONE is ready to be president.
How brief and did they part on good terms?
and, neither would her long form birth certificate, because she has one. Just ask her.
I wrote to my congresscritter about the TWO Certificates of Nomination for the Ladyboy, “supplied” by Pelosi and Alice Travis Germond, Secretary of the DNC.
The bastard wrote back saying the Ladyboy had offered his Birth Certificate.
And this “traitor” is a republican. Chambliss is his name.
Time for Conservatives that respect our Constitution.
I hope Chambliss has his resume prepared.
