The biggest moment any singer can ask for: "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl. And Christina Aguilera messed up the lyrics. At about 51 seconds in, as she was about to sing the fourth line ("O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming"), she accidentally sang a hybrid of the second line: "What so proudly we watched, at the twilight's last streaming."

It sounded just like the SNL version by Maya Rudolph—
only NOT FUNNY...can anyone out there, sing The National Anthem without making it sound like a 2 billion note train-wreck?
Oh-woah sayuhh-uUHHHUHUHUHUHH—cannnnnnnaaaaaa—youuuuu—seeeeeeeyaaaaAaaaaaAAaaaaAAaaa
They’ll always remember the time they were at the Super Bowl and screwed it up.
(not to mention the lyric snafu)
Complete disgrace. Disgusting and un-American.
Each singer has to mess it up in his/her own inimitable fashion.
The Obama version.
It sounds like she’s singing it for Soul Train.
to be fair .....the look on her face says it all
the
“I just F***’d up the star spangled banner at the super bowl” look
no whitney houston moment for her.
that was nerves.....not disrespect....i give her a pass.
I don’t know if it’s just me but Christina reminded me a lot of Roseann singing the anthem years ago. They both sounded like screeching to me. Granted it is a difficult song to sing. But somewhere between the west coast and the east coast and all points in between there must be a person who can sing it with the dignity it deserves.
Agreed...and the idiots applauded wildly.
Plus, we have to remember, everybody with an anal opening can be a critic!
Why do they keep hiring these yodelers?
Just play the recording of Whitney
Houston, the most beautiful version
I have ever heard.
The Kenyan version. Right up there next to the muslim Declaration of Independence that doesn’t mention our Creator.
“Dang, they’re in Texas. They should have gotten the Cactus Cuties...”
Thank you. That was my facebook post this morning.
This is a football game, not a singing contest.
Christina looked fine.
That’s my favorite rendition of our National Anthem. They sang like angels from heaven.
Reba sang the best I’ve ever heard. I think it was a Tyson fight.
