So much for objectivity. One of the FCC stipulations of the Comcast NBCU merger was the incorporation of non-profit journalism centers into NBC newsrooms. They are charged with maintaining and increasing local news coverage, the regulation based on the relationship between KNSD-TV and VoiceofSanDiego.org.
KNSD airs the segments, but really cant take all the credit for them. They are largely the work ofVoiceOfSanDiego.org, a local nonprofit journalism center that has been sharing news tips, co-producing and supplying content to the station for several years.
[...]
Under the terms of the FCC order approving Comcasts takeover of NBCU, at least half of NBCs 10 O&Os have to find a nonprofit news center with which to work within the next year. The order cites the KNSD-VoiceOfSanDiego.org alliance as the model for what it would like to see in other NBC markets.
Proponents of the growing nonprofit news movement are hoping that NBCs FCC-mandated efforts will bear fruit and encourage other commercial TV stations to seek out nonprofit partners.
Theres just one problem with this: Voice of San Diego is a member of INN (Investigative News Network) which is funded by the Open Society Institute, the URL of which is www.soros.org. Yes, these non-profit journalism centers are funded by George Soros.

Well, congress didn't,just some CZAR appointed by his Majesty,Czar Barack......
Godfather favor points redeemed.
The Emperor has spoken...
For those of us possessing and exercising common sense as well as an average ability to comprehend the English language yes I’d say it’s unconstitutional .
Pretty simple solution: the Koch Brothers need to quickly start up some non-profit “news” operations as well.
No question. We have an enemy in Washington. . .and sick and discouraged that Repub Leadership does not 'quite' get this fact and that even Conservative Media - is not warning the people in coherent but acceptable - language.
It is not just 'it's the economy stupid'; it is every facet of this Administration, so engaged as to destroy America while 'radicalizing and Islamizing' it as well.
Hope they find homes for them.
Freedom of the press is being abridged with the full cooperation of the press. The press created this guy, obama. They openly campaigned for him and got him elected. They have been carrying his water for the last two years. Now the kenyan is turning on them.
Marxist dictators use the existing media to gain power, then sack or compromise them to insure that they will not turn on him.
Earlier this week, the White House threatened the media to leave the whole birther issue alone or there will be serious consequences. Can’t recall another president threatening the media much less getting away with it.
... and if you don't like it ... TOUGH!
Is FOX next?
The video this AM of the Fascist in Palm Springs claiming they are going to go after Rupert Murdock, makes one wonder just how far they will go.
If Comcast agreed to this they have no respect for the freedom of Speech.
they only have till Saturday apparently
The SC has got to get this guy out NOW. His branch is refusing to follow recent judicial rulings. No wonder that when the idea of the court ordering a south american dictator he had to go because he was term limited out, (.)bama’s people began citing the court was out of line.
Even if it has to get to the point of Cairo today, he has got to go. Time for the demonstrations to begin. In fact, since (.)bama sought to give Mubarak advice on leaving, perhaps Mubarak can return the favor.
Well....crapola...nice find!
Interesting. I've seen a few articles from INN posted here in the last couple of days. I wonder if the posters were aware of this connection.
great...next they’ll be ordering CBS to let IndyMedia write Katie’s copy for her. Unless they do it already...
These are the same “community groups” the government wants to give radio stations to.
Seriously - George Soros is such a slimer. Someone needs to put a sock in his mouth and hog-tie him.
Really.
