The queen of the Tea Party knows how to deliver a stump speech, and the more than 200 people who turned out to hear Michelle Bachmann in person Wednesday at the Ala Moana Hotel were not disappointed.
Organized by the free-market "think tank" Grassroot Institute of Hawaii and attracting a good many local Republicans, Bachmann charged her supporters to rise up and fight for the foundations of the nation: inalienable rights of life and liberty that can't be touched by the government.
"The Tea Party movement as I define it is a rejection of the Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda," she said. "You are the Tea Party ... It's a broad swath of America it's huge! It's in every region not just north and south but every part of the United States."

He's nothing but a Moby, come to deceive and divide, ensuring conservatives won't win while pretending he is one.
Well put. Palin is only Quayled, used as a verb, if
you accept the oppositions position. I don’t.
Palin at this time can run as herself, and WHEN she
runs we will find out what that is.
Certainly we have several GOOD conservitive candidates
who IF THEY RUN will give us a choice in who to support.
I believe that Palin will run myself, I think she has it
in her and knows it. It remains to be seen if Bachemann sp.
has the grit.
Either way, WE MUST HAVE a CONSERVATIVE candidate to put
up against these socialists if we are to survive as a
country. Look at the damage these two years have done,
look at the waste of time and money this “National Health
care” fiasco is costing us, it should be criminal that
such an unconstitutional bill ever saw the light of day,
not to mention this idiocy in the middle east, the ramifications of which we won’t see for years.
I look forward to the primaries, may the best person win.
Lets not let it degenerate into personal slurs etc.
We have more important enemies to fight than ourselves.
tet.
I will continue to support Sarah's candidacy until she says NO. I am sure of her role to lead us out of the mire!
Sarah on FaceBook- 2,724,023 People
Michele on FaceBook- 90,203 People
Hmmmmmm...
Palin may yet disqualify herself in the eyes of conservative voters, or in the eyes of not-so-conservative voters.
But to concede that she is damaged beyond repair NOW is to allow the enemy to define who we are. Screw that, IMO.
Let US define what is acceptable in our own eyes.
LOST is far more egregious than Title IX, IMO. We can reverse Title IX, as Reagan tried valiantly to do, but if we create the UN’s Global Seabed Authority and hand a big chunk of our sovereignty over the the UN, it will never come back.
Here is the problem with limiting our discussions within the parameters of candidates “allowed to define themselves before we pass judgment”. Mitt Romney claims to be pro-life now and a lifelong member of the NRA. Huckabee claims to be a tax slasher and anti-amnesty guy. Newt claims he wants to get rid of the EPA. And Perry says he’s for strict border enforcement. Do you see the glaring problem with allowing folks to erase their past, their working years in gov’t, their past campaign statements that infuriated conservatives and whose advocacy caused great damage?
Palin cannot be the first candidate in GOP history allowed to redefine herself for a campaign.
As for emotional, I say nonsense. It’s just the hard facts I present. the emotion comes from those who want run interference for Palin’s statements and policies.
Lot’s of worshipers out there. Now go find me that pre-ClimateGate quote where she dismisses global warming as an algorian fairy tale.

Pretending you can be diplomatic and logical with pissant is like saying you should trust Obama to be truthful.
The man is a divisive and despised poster for good reason. He earned it.Nuff said.
:-)
The "gnat" posted this thread, which isn't about Sarah Palin and he said nothing about Sarah Palin until the spamming started.
Fantastic. Thank you very much for sharing.
Worth and MB Ping to the gang
Pissant, I call them as I see them. I believe that many of the arguments you present are emotional, as opposed to logical.
You do raise some good points for discussion, though.
I would caution you that some of the positions that are ascribed to Palin are vestiges from a campaign in which she was not allowed to speak her own agenda. For me, I openly opined that McCain was not conservative enough to fit my agenda. She, as the second banana pick, could not be allowed to stray from the McCain line. Any speech or video of her from that era is colored by that reality.
Speech before that time, or significantly afterward (boy is “significant” a loaded term) is fair game.
In the end, I believe that Palin, Bachmann, and any other conservatives interested in the brass ring need to personally present their cases to the voters.
And to allow the media to “Quayle” any conservative is to allow the democrats to pick our candidate.
I’m about to hit the hay - it’s late. I may not respond further on this thread.
But please consider that, if your honest intent is to convince conservative voters to look beyond Palin as a candidate, you have failed in your choice of arguments (at least from my perspective). Conservatives do not respond well to “Quayling” candidates, where the enemedia is allowed to define who and what we are.
Have a good evening.
No offense, but I have been around long enough to recall when he wasn’t considered a problem child.
If he persists in insisting that his emotionally based argument be given credence, then I have identified the logical fallacy he has used. Perhaps that will be useful for other FReepers.
If he presents a cogent argument that shows Bachmann to be substantially better than Palin, then perhaps my attempts at reason will have found usefulness through another route.
But, he is not the only one who has presented an emotional argument. Let’s argue facts, not emotion.
In the end, I may have wasted my time - but only if nobody benefits from the cold, logical review of the arguments that have been presented.
Have a good evening, FRiend.
Spamming on *his* thread. LOL. Now there’s one for the books.
What does that mean? pissant posted it and it is full of off topic spam. Two simple facts.
Do you seriously believe that Rep. Michele Bachmann is not a close person friend of Governor Sarah Palin's?
SERIOUSLY, do you believe it is appropriate to post in that manner about conservatives who are close personal friends?
First, the media can only Quayle a quaylable candidate. George Bush and Reagan were subjected to the same sort of nonsense and brushed it off. Palin may do so, but to date has not, IMO.
2nd. Title IX was brought up by Palin out of the blue on the campaign trail when she was asked a question about empowering women. Nothing to do with McCain and it is not the only time she has made statements in support of Title IX

3rd: Her interview with BOR where she re-iterated her amnesty plan was July 9th 2010. Keep in mind that, like McCain & Grahmnesty and the dems, she says she does not support amnesty, but then goes on to give her AMNESTY plan on BOR in the next breath.
4th: She was pimping LOST before anyone ever heard of her, in 2007.
http://globalsolutions.org/files/general/Palin_LOS_Letter.pdf
5th: Recall she bragged about being one of the first guvs in the country to form a global warming task force.
” I believe that mans activities can certainly be contributing to the issue of global warming and climate change” - Palin
“Dear Alaskan,
Alaskas climate is warming. While there have been warming and cooling trends before, climatologists tell us that the current rate of warming is unprecedented within the time of human civilization. Many experts predict that Alaska, along
with our northern latitude neighbors, will warm at a faster pace than any other areas, and the warming will continue for decades” ~ Governor Palin

Now where’s that emotion you keep talking about?
I'll tell you what it means: It means that the notion of anyone complaining about spam on a thread posted by pissant is hilarious (and rich). He is the king of off-topic spam on at least a dozen threads a day.
Is it clear now?
Thank you very much for the update. Yes, some freepers really like Rep. Michele Bachmann, and lots of freepers literally worship her close personal friend Governor Sarah Palin.
