CNN's Anderson Cooper and his camera crew were attacked and repeatedly punched by pro-government forces near Tahrir Square in Cairo today.
"My team were set upon by the crowd," Cooper said on CNN this morning via telephone from the safety of a hotel balcony. "There was no rhyme or reason to itit was just people looking for a fight, looking to make a point, and punching us." According to a Twitter post from George Hale, the English editor of the Ma'an news agency, who cited a CNN "manager," Cooper was punched "10 times in the head."

Who could have imagined the MSM already stripped down to bare, near-nakedness, the sense of their own validation, existence staring into the blackness of the abyss, in the throes of death, rigor mortis setting in, marginalized to where you thought was already the sub-basement of ignominious insignificance, suffer a further blow to their sense of dignity, self-righteous, when their respective news superstars relegated to status of "Get The F**K out of Here" right beforee our very eyes that sets a new standard for gloating Schandenfreude self indulgence. How sweet it is!
How do we know they’re pro Mubarak thugs?
After all the “freedom fighters” were telliong CNN that they hated Israel and America” some 48 hours ago.
The comments at hollywoodreporter.com are not friendly to cnn.
OK, Coop, compare that to one of those nasty, racist, violent Tea Party demonstrations back home - dim wit

Democracy in action!
Don’t they know he is “gay” and above the common lout?
>> “...it was just people looking for a fight, looking to make a point, and punching us...”
Hey queerbait — isn’t that just how you treat conservatives on your network? What’s good for the goose...
I think Cooper would enjoy being in an Egyptian prison.
>> Dont they know he is gay and above the common lout?
Hmmm... he looks more like the type who prefers a position *below* the lout. ;-)
Or did it ever occur to Anderson and everyone that there is an anti-American, anti-western element to these protests? And that he and his team were a strong symbol of that?
Why did CNN and others send news people into the thick of things anyway? At a time when the State Department has urged Americans to leave, and other countries are evacuating their citizens, the people at CNN think they won’t be in danger by going in there?
Fag Bashing...????
Then leave the country. After all they have done I have no sympathy for ANY of them.
Newsflash to so-called Reporter:
There are a myriad of people and groups who would like to take a swing at you, so they may not have been "pro-government forces".
LOL! I don’t believe any of this. A Cooper and Amanpour - like the rest - are liars.
The leftist media always makes sure they are the story. It is so pathetic and evil.
CNN took sides early. Having made themselves combatants they expect to be targeted.
What’s the frequency Kenneth?
contrary to Anderson’s ignorant remark that there was “no rhyme or reason to it....” there obviously was a reason.
1 Mubarak supporters know Anderson Cooper and CNN are totally in with the revolutionaries and they are pissed. Or
2 The Moslem Brotherhood set Cooper up and acted as Mubarak supporters to make CNN’s coverage even more pro revolution. And believe me, it is.
Anderson Cooper childishly and unprofessionally made himself part of the story. He appeared without sign of serious injury on air after this, so they were not 10 effective punches to the head.
quadruple hate crime?
gay, white, American, rich.
