Cites allegations, reminds of legal protection for whistleblowers
Mike Vanderboegh at Sipsey Street Irregulars has posted copies of two letters from Sen. Charles Grassley to Acting Director Ken Melson of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Per Vanderboegh:
A Sipsey Street Exclusive: Senator Grassley is on the Project Gunwalker scandal case -- big time. These came in over the electronic transom this morning. To all you lurking "news media" types -- if this ain't enough to get you covering this scandal, I don't know what will.
The first letter, dated Jan. 27, expresses "serious concerns" about Project Gunrunner, and notes allegations about the slaying of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry "were accompanied by detailed documentation which appears to lend credibility to the claims and partially corroborates them."
The second letter, dated Jan. 31, copies Attorney General Eric Holder, and reminds acting director Melson that ATF management must respect whistleblower protections and that "obstrucitng a Congressional investigation is a crime."
I have included jpg files of the letters in the sidebar slideshow, and PDF files on Scribd:
Jan. 27 letter
Jan. 31 letter
This development continues to corroborate information Vanderboegh and I have brought to light since the beginning of this month that has been ignored by the mainstream press. Representatives of the media: You have no more excuses not to report on this.

We all know that the MSM will break convoluted stories with only the faintest, most circular route to a Republican administration, and push it and push it until the narrative is clear to even a five year old, while something like this, which is obvious to a five year old from the start, because it hurts our Messiah (Muzz Liar), will never see the light of day.
The Grassly letters to the ATF are very threateningly worded. I think this has their attention. The link between an ATF program adn the murder of a BP agent by one of “their” rifles will be a juicy story that even the MSM will pick up.

The AP has picked this story up, but it seems to me that they played down the “Mexicans used ATF-smuggled guns to murder US agent” angle. It’s the truth, and it will hurt 0bama, so of course AP must protect their Master.
Good job!
He is my guy, and I am glad i voted for Grassley!
The AP cannot be trust on any story during this admin.
I have yet to read an actual news story that isn’t an attempt to run interference for this Admin.

EVER.
Tjey could convict and remove the entire BATF and it would NEVER appear on ABCNBCBSPBSCNN.
Grassley can drive you mad at times, but when he’s on, he’s on.
This is the first time I’ve heard of this and I read up on it from the link you provided but there is still one thing I’m confused on...If the ATF was purposefully allowing guns to be walked across the border and into the hands of criminals, what is the purpose?? I read it was to boost the statistics of Project Gunwalker (which I’m not sure I understand fully btw.) But what is the administrations goal in doing this? What is the end result? To prove that the criminals in Mexico are being armed by the US? To confiscate OUR guns?? What is it?
I am with you MW
I am not sure what the result was supposed to be.
Please can anyone who explain why the US gov’t smuggled guns into mexico?
I’ll join you two in the confused corner.
For one thing, providing more US purchased arms would up the number of traceable (to US civil sales) weapons available for mexican forces to capture (if they were not delivered to them in the first place).
The media constantly reports that the majority of confiscated arms are traced back to the US - without reporting that the real majority of confiscated arms are not traceable and therefore not likely from any US gun stores at all.
You can be sure that, had a whistleblower not given the alarm, news of weapons used to kill a BP agent had come from a Tucson civil sale would have made nationwide banner headlines.
I watched ABC nightly news last night, for the first time in 10 years, just to see what they would say about the Obamacare ruling. To my surprise, they said NOTHING! I’m shocked I tell ya....
Thanks
That makes sense in a sick way
that 0dumbo’s people would sink this low disregarding the real possibility people would get killed with the weapons smuggled in including one of our own.
is there NOTHING 0dumbo won’t do to make the USA look bad?
