(CNN) Former President George W. Bush's daughter Barbara is appearing in a new web video in support of gay marriage.
The 20-second spot released Monday is sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign, a civil rights organization that works to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.
"I'm Barbara Bush and I'm a New Yorker for marriage equality," Bush says. "New York is about fairness and equality and everyone should have the right to marry the person that they love. Join us."

Fine. believe what you will, but correlation is not causation.
Who cares? She is just a silverspoon brat whose only accomplishment in life was being born to the right family.
I find Military families do raise great children.
My boys are christian conservatives and good fathers that they learned from their soldier dad.
They can have it all if the people agree to give it to them.
But they should get NOTHING if it must be imposed by judges. Most states don’t recognize same-sex unions no matter what you call them, and those states should be free to continue a policy of no recognition.
Her mom is strong on anti-Biblical views. Her father is weak on defending Biblical ones.
‘’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’
I like that,short and true.
And she apparently attended a fundraiser for traitor Ted Olson’s group which seeks to use judicial activism to impose gay marriage on the entire nation.
That is unforgivable. Personally supporting gay marriage is one thing. Trying to get it implemented democratically is one thing. But embracing judicial imposition of gay marriage is an indefensible view for anyone claiming not to be a liberal.
Even if they are born that way, there is still nothing in the Constitution that requires or compels the state, if it recognizes traditional marriage, to do the same or similar for same sex unions.
That is the true heart of the debate. Who decides? This Bush twit obviously wants the Courts to impose her views on the rest of rubes. I’m sure she despises the people who actually voted for her father.
Post as you wish.
Every cliche and accusation you have reiterated so far is perfectly in line with the moral and intellectual inheritance to be gained from the culture which produced Mather, Beecher, Emerson, the Kennedys, Frank, Romney and the Bush family for that matter.
Trees will bear their appropriate fruit, after all.
We shall see which crop is gathered up and burned in the long run.
Give me direct evidence that
GWB said that all faiths lead to God. I know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I want proof that GWB made this statement. Until then, I don’t believe it.
I should clarify my screen name. My youngest son is currently in the Army (5 1/2 years). When I first found FR I tried to use ArmyDad & SoldiersDad,but they were already in use. I then picked SoldierDad, which some have confused to mean that I am/were in the Army, which is not the case. I have never been a “soldier”. I did serve in the USAF. Thus, I was an airman (or, wingnut, depending upon who is speaking). My son says I was in the Chairforce (despite the fact that I was in one of the very few jobs which involved carrying a weapon - Security Police). I followed in my father’s footsteps (though I was unaware of this at the time of my enlistment) in that he was also in the USAF Security Police. Now I’m looking at having two sons enlisted in the Army as my older son is planning to enlist in the near future.
That’s right. Did I say something else? There are legal methods for getting rights for committed partners, such as wills, medical power of attorney and so on.
If they can get someone to marry them, okay. It won’t be legal, but there can be cake.
Just because you’re annoyed at Barbara Bush for coming out for gay marriage, doesn’t entitle you to lie about her.
She has accomplished a lot more than many young women her age.
I’m 19, I am not. Of course this isn’t for religious reasons(I’m atheist) but for ethical reasons. To me, homosexuality is discarding the important family unit of the mother and father perspective that childern need. What’s digusting about this is how people like these bimbo daughters can talk about anyone loving anyone and yet if you asked they to stand up for adultery, they wouldn’t do it. If you support homosexuality and also say stupid, hippy beliefs like “free-love” then you should support sexuality in all its forms, not just the one that is popular right now.
Barbara Bush Jr. is a spoiled kid. Maybe if Bush took her out to the farm and work, maybe she wouldn’t be so bohemian.
Ok, you wanted proof, here it is. There are other similar interviews like this, but I can't remember the settings or interviewers at the momemt.
Quite honestly, after listening once again to this interview with Charlie Gibson (ABC), there is not a single shred of Biblical truth or knowledge that GWB quotes from. He simply CANNOT express the name of "GOD", but only uses a generic name "the Almighty", although at the end he links "Almighty" & God together in one phrase. It does not appear that GWB knows Biblical truth in any way, shape or form, as he never quotes from the Bible, just his version of "I think this or that". The Bible says in Romans 3:4 "Yea, let God be true, but every man a liar". Truth comes from the Lord Jesus Christ and is revealed for us in the Holy Bible, not some half baked & heretical views of GWB, as expressed in this interview. If GWB is a truly born again Christian, then he is certainly propogating heresy & lies, and not Biblical truth.

Quotes from the interview with Charlie Gibson....
Gibson - Do we all worship the same god, Christians & muslims?
GWB - I think we do. We have different routes of getting to the "Almighty"
Gibson - Do Christians & non-Christians & muslims go to heaven, in your mind? GWB - Yes they do. We have different routes of getting there, but I want your listeners to understand that I don't get to decide who goes to heaven....
Daddy Bush supports “civil unions”. Six in one hand, half a dozen in the other.
Opinions are like...
God bless you and your sons.
I also have a son(besides my husband)) that retired from the Army after 2 years in the Air Force.
She wouldn’t have accomplished a single thing were it not for a rich and powerful daddy.
No, you didn’t. But I am always disappointed in how the question of who should decide is never asked in situations like this. Some prominent Republican or alleged conservative comes out for gay marriage, yet the media never asks them how they think the matter should be settled. They never ask them if they there is a right to gay marriage, and if the Sup Court should impose it on the entire nation.
