All Senate Republicans appear ready to repeal health care law By: CNN Political Producer Shannon Travis
Washington (CNN) - Every Republican in the Senate now appears ready to revoke President Obama's signature health care law. This comes as a federal judge, in Florida, strikes down key parts of the law as unconstitutional.
The GOP holds 47 seats in the Senate.
According to Sen. Jim DeMint's office, 45 of them will co-sponsor the South Carolina Republican's legislation introduced last week - to fully repeal the health law. Republicans are "standing with the American people who are demanding we repeal this government takeover of health care," DeMint said at the time.
DeMint's office told CNN it did not yet have confirmation that Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran would sign on. But CNN contacted Cochran's office and confirmed that he would.

If you get a bill with 46 co-sponsers (as soon as Thad Cocheran signs on) should that not have to come to the floor??? Also, I can see other Dems who voted for the original bill will vote for this repeal of the bill. With the judges ruling as cover. When asked about it, they can now say that since it looks as if it is going to be ruled unconstitutional, it makes sense to repeal this bill and start on a new one.
Sure, Obama will veto the bill, but this is beautiful. Make him veto it!! In fact, after he vetos it, this same bill should be brought up again in the house in January 2012. Start it all over again, only this time during election season. See how many more Dems we can pick off and pass it by larger margins...

A map of the states with lawsuits against Obama Care. Dark blue states were the first to join the Florida lawsuit. Light blue states joined thereafter. Green states have independent lawsuits pending. Together, these states represent 291 electoral votes.

A Democrat will raise a point of order declaring that repeal will increase the deficit, thereby requiring 60 votes to pass.

Don’t waste another minute defending Snowe job to me. The old hag needs to retire before she does any more damage to the country. We need two political parties in this country.
