Bedouin tribesman have reportedly taken control of two towns in the Sinai Peninsula. These two towns are the closest to the Gaza Strip and right next to the border with Israel. There were reports yesterday that Bedouin tribes had besieged a police station in Suez and it appears that these riots have spread. This would effectively end the Mubarak dictatorships control of the region. There are no reports of the Egyptian military stepping in here.
The more disturbing news is a threat that has been made by the tribes if Mubarak does not step down. According to one report coming from Time Magazine, they are willing to attack the Suez Canal if Mubarak does not leave. The Suez Canal currently is where a third of the worlds oil and six percent of all products passes through. A seizure of the Canal could spike oil prices beyond the current $90 level, perhaps over $110. This could come to pass despite the fact that Egypt is not a major oil producer.
It has been speculated that the Egyptian army would not allow the Canal, perhaps Egypts most important economic element, to be attacked. However, there appears to be little to no protection and one report states that at least one ship has been attacked there. Others have reported fear of passing through due to the unrest.

Omar Sharif was an Egyptian Coptic Christian, speaking of hosed ...
But just dang, in his day he was the prettiest thing going.
The same thing happened in Lebanon. The Muslim Brotherhood will be in control in 3-6 months, perhaps sooner.
Zawahiri is in the Muslim Brotherhood.
War is coming, folks.
Why just this afternoon he was sitting on his ass at his daughter Sasha's basketball game.

prolly beats him like a redheaded stepchild.
I think it was a British movie.
let’s party like it is 1956.
...and that’s just the foreplay!
I will stand with them [the muslims] should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
I will stand upwind of the muslims, regardless of the direction of the wind.
Too bad Israel didn’t keep control of the area !
He is so lukewarm he may end up handing the Muslim Brotherhood a big win. There are no George Washington’s in this Egypt thing...Hosni is a brute and the alternative is more brutal...Two bad choices but ...you have to choose. The Egyptians are slaves now and that is likely to continue under Islamists. Christians should be packing to leave if they have not already.
Yep, you're right. I looked it up. It was only distributed by Columbia. It was produced by (now defunct) Horizon Pictures, a British company.
This is moving along quite rapidly...
...wouldn’t be orchestrated in advance, now would it?
I think you are right...Things are accelerating now. There will be no recovery with oil headed toward 100 to 200/barrel. We can anticipate oil disruptions in the near future.
The Army is focused on providing basic security in the cities right now...the regime is collapsing.
The Generals need to announce that Mubarak is out and they will head an interim government until the fall when elections can be held.
Then go out and kill every one of the MB they can find.
And queer.
lol, wow.
