Al Jazeera live stream of the night streets in Egypt. Very fascinating. People living in neighborhoods are taking to the streets at night to protect their homes with bats, kitchen knives and rifles. Other live reports too. One hundred people dead so far.

The idea of watching events unfold via al jazeera makes me feel unclean. I would rather cook and eat a pound of bacon, followed by a rack of spare ribs. Pork rinds for dessert.

If that upsets you, then I don't think you'd like what I cook on a regular basis...
But yes, it's tough having to watch the only coverage available on the one network that is MORE anti-American than CNN or MSNBC.

As much as I hate to say this about Al Jazeera, they've been the most up to date source I've been able to find all day. I can't vouch for it's accuracy.

I agree. I’m sorry they took it out of Breaking News, but I understand why.

It will be interesting to hear what Obama had to say to Mubarak.

They all keep a straight face. This much is for certain. I've been ignoring the politicians and officials, but hearing what individuals have to say has been interesting. The only problem is that their view of the overall situation is fairly limited.
Overall, Al Jazeera hasn't been sympathetic to Mubarak all day that I've been watching it. In fact, it seems to me that they're greasing the door for him to exit. They've been giving plenty of air time to people who do NOT speak well of him. As for what that means, or who's really going to end up in power, I have no idea. My own personal opinion is that anybody who screams Allah Akbar during a riot, no matter WHAT the cause, can't come to any good.

I'm looking forward to hearing what the Master Community Organizer has to say to a man who is from all outward indicators in a losing situation.

WTF...... I turn it on and what do I see? The POS loon, Representative Jim McDermott (D - WA). That ass-hat is speaking as if he represents the U.S.
That incompetent POS has no business in getting involved in this... NONE.

A lot of the individuals (on the street) who are interviewed express the view that it would be a good thing for Iran to get involved. All of those who have stated this so far have been males, under 30 (approx). ...bad, bad idea!

Yes I saw it. I would guess that most of the GOP wisely stays off Al-Jazeera.

If he’s had a heads up from the White House, we’re going to abandon Mubarak....Hello Muslim Brotherhood!
