ANSA Italy ^ | January 29, 2010

(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, JANUARY 28 - At least twenty members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the main opposition force in Egypt, have been arrested during the night. The news was announced by the Islamic political organisation's lawyer. The people arrested in their homes include five former MPs and five members of the political office, including the spokesmen of the brotherhood, Essam El-Erian and Mohammed Mursi.

The Muslim Brotherhood have announced that they will take part in the protest demonstrations today against Hosni Mubarak's regime, after Friday prayers, after having kept a low profile over recent days.

I agree, they are enemy combatants and subversives of the Egyptian government.

Sitting here far away you can only speculate as to what’s up. My guess is the MB is fomenting alot of this and by taking them out things will quiet down some possibly. Another option is that if the govt does go down they don’t want the MB getting the upper hand. I’m sure there are other scenarios too.

I don’t know how to do it, but I posted a comment on another thread on Egypt. I quote:

“”My understanding is this is a demonstration of freedom, not of Islamic revolution. If that is the case, then the movement that fomented this is going to have to do the most uncivilized thing known to man.

There is going to have to be a genocide of radical islamists. The radicals are like camels with their noses in the tent. First there will be a setup of a democratic government. Then there will be an Islamic party. Then Islamic positions in government, then a takeover.

Then the same people who started this in the first place will be jailed and killed.

I believe Patton said, “If it should be necessary to fight the Russians, the sooner we do it the better.””

If Sadat was still around they wouldn’t be alive and nobody would have survived to report their deaths. He handled the Soviet’s agents that way in the “bread riots” in the mid seventies after he “disinvited” his friends from Moscow. I remember because I was there. He was brutal but well suited to conditions in the region.

And the MB's retribution will be 7th century.

WE don’t need Tariq Ramadan, but obviously POS Obama does.
He should be impeached for letting him come here.
