My husband got a notice 2 days ago from Nebraska saying he may or may not have to report his tax refund from last year on this year’s return and he may or may not be investigated if he does or does not report it.

Wading through the verbiage, I figured every taxpayer who got a refund should get the same letter. But this is the first year we’ve gotten anything like it.

Sure shook him up for a while though.
