The BBC is reporting that Egyptian Army tanks have allegedly surrounded the embassies of the United States and United Kingdom. This comes after Israel evacuated its entire embassy staff via helicopter. This is coming in through their live blog, and further details appear scarce. The BBC is quoting an al-Jazeera cable:
2125: Tanks have surrounded the US and British embassies in Cairo, Al-Jazeera reports.
This could be a huge, huge problem. This is similar to 1979 when the Islamic rebels took the US Embassy and held hostages for 444 days.
Now is Obamas time to shine on the world stage!

Tell the Marines to shoot anyone who comes over or through the fence. The only reason they were able to occupy our embassy in Iran is because they realized our guards weren’t going to start shooting. By the time the guards realized the danger, it was too late.

I tried looking for the US Embassy in Cairo on google earth.
Just comes up with a bunch of hotels. In other words crap.
Tried looking for the street address on a google search. Backdoor method.
Just get a bunch of crap. Some says file not found.
Tried google earth for the US Embassy in London, England, just to check. All kinds of info, including street views.
