My BS meter is engaged, and I’ve noticed during crisis situations like this that CNN tends to stick to reporting the events. There are no spinners up right now. Just editors and correspondents on the ground.

The reporting is head, shoulders, and hips above Fox right now. Shep Smith was simply gag worthy. I had to change the channel. He compared the situation to the Berlin Wall falling, and then couldn’t get the population of Egypt right. It’s like he’s getting off on all of this.

In fact CNN just broke that Egypts ‘joint chiefs’ were in DC today, and even pointed out the irony of it. They are critical of the WH, and are questioning why Obama hasn’t tried to coordinate a response with other EU heads of state, Russians, or Chinese.

I’m a little surprised at how good. At 1:27 PM Pacific I’m watching curbside coverage of the ruling party headquarters completely destroyed, with fires still burning up and down the street.

It’s amazing that they are able to get the video out of the country given all comms are down. I’m impressed.

Yes, you'd think a Nobel Peace Price winner would be all over that, wouldn't you?

Not that amazing if you remember they were in the bed with Sadaam Hussein in Iraq back during his horrendous regime.

Just saying........

Most of the video feeds are from Al Jazzera's live coverage.

I’m sure they have satellite coms. If CNN is doing a good job, I’m glad to hear it. I would watch for comments related to the whole populace being this or that, or Mubarak being a this or that.

Things are relative. It bothers me when the media passes on information in absolutes, when those absolutes are open to conjecture.

Thank you for the report. I may check it out later.

Empty a bag of sugar, shake it out.

There are always a few grains missed and left behind.
