Bachmann once again steals GOP spotlight
Minn Star Trib ^ | 1/27/11 | Kevin Diaz

WASHINGTON -- If Michele Bachmann made any friends this week, they weren't among the Republican leaders in the House.

They saw their official rebuttal to President Obama's State of the Union speech hijacked by a national press corps more interested in what the telegenic Minnesota Republican had to say.

This wasn't the first time GOP leaders have found themselves in Bachmann's growing national shadow.

My thinking at present : If she's the GOP candidate, she has my vote. If she splits the GOP and runs as a 3rd party, say a TEA party, she has my vote. If she bows out of the race for the benefit of a less conservative Republican, or worse a RINO, that she feels has a better shot, I write in Sarah Palin and accept that Hillary Clinton will likely be the next President (because the Pres__ent may not have opportunity to pee on the Constitution again if certain eligibility bills pass). If Sarah and Michelle both run, just "wow", I'll make popcorn and count my lucky stars.

With Pence declining to run, I think it now more likely that Bachmann (and Palin for that matter) will run.

btw, Palin said that Bachmann and Ryan complimented each other. I think the media is trying to divide Republicans.

It won’t be just the media trying to divide republicans once folks start tossing their name in the kitty for the POTUS primary. This is going to be a very brutal primary season. Here at FR and across the nation.

If the establishment GOP are angered with Bachmann she’s on the right path. My dislike for them is growing weekly if not daily. They’re like a mega-church charlatan leading their flock astray with false doctrine. They put up a front like they’re there to help save you but they’re lying devils. Quit lying to yourselves about these scumbags, they aren’t on your side. Well, very few of them are anyway.

The misogynist left must feel threatened by Bachmann because they've resorted to one of their standard lines of attacks and claim she's an idiot. Obviously the liberals fail to grasp the irony in the morons calling anyone else an idiot.

Bachmann and Palin are (putting thumb to forefinger) like this. What will the Palin haters and Bachmann lovers gonna do when the ticket comes out Bachmann/Palin or Palin/Bachmann?

Bachmann/Palin

Works for me.

Palin can take on and disassemble the alphabet soup agencies.

The line of the entire article that had me laughing so hard I cried....

“Among those weighing in was Meghan McCain, a rising pundit and daughter of Arizona Sen. John McCain, the GOP standard bearer in the 2008 presidential election.

“It’s important to note that Michele Bachmann is not a leader, and she’s not the leader of the Republican Party,” she said on MSNBC. “It is one rogue woman who couldn’t even look into the camera directly, and I take none of it seriously.”

She takes none of it seriously? Her? The little pissant whose intelligence is barely above that of an eggplant (my apologies to eggplants) has the nerve to dismiss a woman who has more charm, grace, class, brains, etc in her pinkie than she has in that gigantic mass of flesh she calls a body?

Where was the media when Dimocraps did their “prebuttle”. I say the media knows that the Republican party now appear to be growing a pair and those GOP leaders in Washington for far too long can’t find theirs. The media is stirring the pot and I’m not taking the hook.

When the men refuse to use their cojones then the women will lead them. Fortunately, in Palin and Bachmann America has two very stouthearted women.

By the way, what’s been going on with Phyllis Schlafly?

What is your fetish with House Reps for President? This has not been done since James Garfield in 1880. At least he was Senator-elect prior to his ascension. That didn't end to well in the end. Reps are the least likely to be able to put together an organization and money to run for Pres. I am just curious why this is always your default move?

Well, ole Meg looks like she'd float pretty good, but I don't know that that makes her a "rising" pundit.

Yeah ... not a pretty thought, I know. But I'm tired of being the slow boiled frog constantly voting for the lesser of two evils. I will pick a winner, even if he or she loses.
