Its not a USNA thing. I suspect all military academies are in over their heads in PC. Heres the latest involving the USCGA altho they’ve been giving quotas(ie preferences) to women for some time now.

I was turned down for Navy ROTC because I was white. Off the record, of course, but at least the officer who interviewed me had the integrity to admit it. He must have been getting tired of turning away qualified applicants based on skin color.

It is no coincidence that the products of affirmative action are socialists.

Affirmative action proponents and socialists both hold "social justice" above excellence. In their view, everyone should have a chance to be a doctor or rocket scientist even if that means lowering the standards of each profession. The fact that a medical patient or astronaut might have a lower life expectancy is just part of the price paid. The fact that the naval academy produces less qualified future officers is irrelevant.

Social fairness is the goal of socialists. The group is all that matters. Slackers may become the president of the Harvard Law Review and may even graduate with honors unearned...that is only fair.

Social justice is just grievance politics and entitlement taken to its ultimate extreme. Nature may have endowed you with less ability and drive...but government will level the playing field.
