He also mentioned that he wanted us not to be dependent on oil. He left out the word “foreign”.

He said that he wanted 1 million electric cars on the road by 2014. He didn’t say what would happen when that load was thrown on an already deteriorating electric production system. Does he think that a solar cell and wind mill will produce that kind of electricity? Right now, during the summer in most areas of the South, people come home after work and turn up the AC. There are regional power losses and brown outs. Can you imagine what will happen with a million electric cars getting plugged in at the same time?

you conservatives are allows misquoting the “President” he never said that the million cars on the road would actually be moving!,just that they would be on the road. That would be silly, we don’t have the electric grid to handle a million cars actually running on the freeways. After all the President is not a complete fool,Right!

On the subject of cars, it seems that GM may not be a loss to the government (and us) after all. I wonder if the One, or key advisors, knew what is in this article when he made the gamble to save GM:
