For the record: He passed absolutely NO tax cuts.

What a pompous, lying ass he is.

The TelePrompTer and speech writers did a great job.

I never thought I’d hear the words “free enterprise” or America and the idea of greatness and exceptionalism associated with each other.

I don’t know who wrote it, but I give them credit. He didn’t even vomit when he said the words, so I give Obama credit.

Zero really is a terrible speaker, with a halting, near-robotic droning delivery and speaks non-standard American English, eg., Tolley-Bahn.

Two of the very awkward and uncomfortable moments were his failed attempts at humor. He tried to deliver a light-hearted narrative about smoked salmon that totally fell flat. Even worse was a distasteful "joke" about an airplane crashing, revealing his utter contempt for human life.

O'Bambi may hold the title (for a couple more years) of President. But is he Presidential? NO! Not all all.

“...but there is no denying the need for Americans to work together.”

####

No. I will NOT “work together” with elitist Commies, intent on destroying this country.

Additionally, I see absolutely no need or advantage in being “civil” with them either. They are the enemy, have had their radical way for FAR too long, and need to be destroyed. Utterly.

“His best moment came early on: “What comes of this moment is up to us. What comes of this moment will be determined not by whether we can sit together tonight, but whether we can work together tomorrow.””

He certainly had no desire to “Work Together” while the Rats had control of Congress!
Why the big change now?

President Obama has struggled in past speeches with the ability to pronounce overtly patriotic rhetoric, but this line, one of the best of the speech genuinely summarizes the goals of the founders

Remember...he read it, he didn't write it...and probably never thought it!

I can not see the merit of the high speed rail. It would be a place to hide more bureaucrats.

Another “honest moment” was when he admitted in an offhand way that TSA gropings are to get you enthused about high speed rail.

"Thanks to the tax cuts we passed, Americans’ paychecks are a little bigger today."

And those would be the Bush tax cuts he's referring to...the ones he ran against?

It sounded like one of Leonid Brezhniv’s old speeches to the Politburo in the Soviet Union.

I’ve never heard or seen someone named Kevin McCullough on FNC. Additionally, there have not been any tax “cuts” during the Obama administration.

The absurd claims made the past couple of years by this administration and all of the Dem talking heads that 95% of US citizens got a tax cut is ludicrous! All they did was reduce the federal withholding rate from paychecks. The tax rates did not change, so many people had to cough up more money by the following 15 April tax return deadline.

The recent temporary extension of the tax rates from the days of the Bush administration was also not a tax cut! The tax rates remained the same.

Will we ever have politicians who will tell the truth instead of attempting to “spin” facts to gain advantages?? /rhetorical...

Obama's on his knees all puckered up, in full reelection mode.......vainly hoping for s 10-point blip. His SOTU ends up as the east coast version of “Together We Thrive” complete with “heroes” and exploitation.

The Marxist is even invoking Reagan. I would not be surprised if he proposed we put Reagan on Mt Rushmore (as a way to get votes).

Here's another clue (/snix).

Last year's DNC poster.

This year's DNC poster

Obama is baptized in the fire of faith.
Obama's been saved. Thank you, Jesus.

" And I especially want to thank you for bringing me all that
Oolong tea. Tea is very big around here since Nov 2010."

"Thanks to the tax cuts we passed, Americans’ paychecks are a little bigger today."

Absolute and complete LIE!

Federal witholding was increased to an almost identical amount as the 2% SS drop. Utter garbage.

exposed to American traditions or values.

This writer's designation of "the most patriotic" moment only highlights the appalling lack of substance provided by the President. That he claims the basis of the founding of America was based on "the idea that each of us deserves the right to shape his own destiny" trivializes the uniqueness of the American idea, as expressed in the founding documents, as well as the speeches and writings of those who framed those documents and later Presidents and leaders.

A leader should not use a word like "ideals" or "ideas" unless he can, at the same time, identify clearly the substance of those ideals.

Yes, it can be done!

Jefferson provided the pen for all the Founders when he wrote the Declaration of Independence. According to President Lincoln, Jefferson "had the coolnesss, forecast, and capacity to introduce into a revolutionary document, an abstract truth, applicable to all men and all times, and so to embalm it there, that today, and in all coming days, it shall be a rebuke and a stumbling-block to the very harbingers [initiators of threatening change] of reappearing tyranny and oppression."

For more evidence of the Jeffersonian ability to identify and clearly state the principles of liberty, read his First Inaugural Address. In it, he outlines what he calls the "essential principles" of his Administration. Once identified and listed, he stated:

"These principles form the bright constellation which has gone before us and guided our steps through an age of revolution and reformation. The wisdom of our sages and the blood of our heroes have been devoted to their attainment. They should be the creed of our political faith, the text of civic instruction, the touchstone by which to try the services of those we trust; and should we wander from them in moments of error or of alarm, let us hasten to retrace our steps and to regain the road which alone leads to peace, liberty, and safety."

Another Jefferson statement is both eloquent and clear: "The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them."

Where is the Presidential candidate who can provide such clarity for current generations? America and the world need such a genius if liberty is to survive for future generations.
