Obama was a bore. I saw Biden with his eyes closed. I wondered if he nodded off. LOL Ryan was better than I expected him to be; very good. Bachmann’s speech was good, but she wasn’t looking into the camera; rather disconcerting.
I dont know.
FR often limps or even lays down for a nap on ordinary days now.
I know I was disturbed thru the whole thing, moments of screaming could be heard.
I thought Ryan was great! He came off as honest, something that is lacking in the age of Obama. I think Ryan would make a great President.
Hopefully, John isolated the problem.
But we helped by pounding the keyboards mercilessly!
Just so you know...I went to Tea Party Express to see Bachman and got the same “ no connect” as here. But all other sites I pulled up were fine.

I was very impressed with him tonight.
Ditto to that. Ryan comes off as sincere and human, and not too proud to admit it when he makes a mistake.
I swear, the next time Zero displays any humility or admits to making a mistake will be his first.

Obama actually put me to sleep. My wife had to wake me up for Paul Ryan’s response.
Paul Ryan was great.
Well, I wouldn’t say he featured the Middle East, but he did point out that 100,000 US troops have been removed from Iraq, and our military presence there is almost over. He also said that troops would begin to come out of Afghanistan this July.
Right. Thereby visually diluting the strength of Republican gains in the last election.

Ended up being a complicated little mess. Problem was the database server would stop answering network connections, causing all the web clients to get stuck. It took awhile to figure out why. It turns out that the DB was configured to do DNS lookups on client connect. Because the DNS service is running on a very busy machine, random DNS queries were getting dropped. Apparently there’s some kind of bug in the DB that wouldn’t timeout a connection if it didn’t get a DNS response, so eventually the whole system gummed up and stopped responding. 0 activity, no system load, and just zilch.
Only showed up when the site was very busy. I disabled DNS lookups on the DB and it seems to be okay now. We’ll see how it goes.
