It is not a spurious argument. In no way have I suggested that Obama should be let off the hook.
It is simply another way for people to look at it and to rethink the whole supposition. Certainly Mitt’s dad nomination should have been questioned by the Republicans.
It wasn’t. Although a member of Congress did enter something into the Congressional record. I don’t know if Dowdy was a Republican or Democrat.
If George Romney had been born a few decades earlier he wouldn’t have even been a US citizen due to the laws at that time. So if you can be a US citizen sometimes..and sometimes you can’t under the same circumstances...just what is a natural born citizen.
If you have listened to the Nguyen argument you can see just how complicated this is and you can see that it is likely not all justices will agree on the term natural born citizen.
