Not to unusual where I live. We usually have a week or two, sometimes more where the temps are minus something. Usually getting to around -30 to -50 below or so. One year right before we moved here there was one day when with the wind chill factor it got to
-75.

I’ve seen lots of videos of the wrecks in the NY area from people trying to drive on this crap. To that, I say “stop criticizing southerners now.” That’s the kind of winters we get ... when we get ‘em. Ice is not an easy thing to drive on.

Int'l Falls -46 below

-46 below means +46 since a minus times a minus is a plus.

To all those lost on the ice floes of NFL time.. We salute you! .. and Da Bear and Packers, Steelers and Jets too!

Some will be tuning the games in from their second home.

The fish may not always bite but the beer is always cold.

Damn. Maybe we’ve REMOVED too much carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

You Frozen Freepers living in the north, I feel your pain.

The temperature didn't even hit 60 today here in Northern California.

Brrr! You’re making me shiver, even though it’s 79 in SoCal and will be all week. So THAT’S why we pay the big bucks to live here among the fruits and nuts...

It was -46 degrees this morning, right outside the kitchen window. If this little town in the Lower 48 is “the nation’s icebox,” I’d have to say that the village in Alaska where I live should be “the nation’s cryogenic storage facility.”

The scene outside the windows at my school on Thursday morning. It's a little colder today.

85oF out by the pool here in Rancho Mirage two days ago. Cooled off slightly since then. Bright sun, clear skies, almost no wind; perfect.

Have a warm day!

I come from Alabama with my banjo on my knee;
I’m goin’ to Lou’siana my true love for to see.
It rained all night the day I left,
the weather it was dry;
The sun so hot I froze to death,
Susanna don’t you cry.

We live in a very big, very old home. Darn near impossible to heat comfortably when it gets this cold, and it’s going to be around zero tonight.

I got a job offer recently but I would have had to move from Texas to Madison, Wisconsin. I told them to ask me again in July if I was still interested. January is the wrong time of the year to be making that offer.

Wanna have fun in -30 weather? Toss some hot coffee against a wall and watch it freeze before it reaches the ground.
