It truly is, which is why I applaud Anita Moncrief for putting together the first Tea Party in a black community. I also applaud Apostle Claver of Raging Elephants for spreading the conservative message in the black community, as well as many other lesser-known, but hard working conservatives of color.
Unfortunately Obama’s election appears to me to have set race relations back many years.
I guess I'm a 'glass half full' sort of person. I see the election of Obama as an opportunity to emancipate blacks from the liberal plantation. He's the best example of the failure of affirmative action liberalism that I've ever seen.
Kudos to you for bringing up your children with patriotic, conservative values. Unlike most black children today, they have been born into freedom.

I hope you are correct and what I am experiencing is just temporary. My heart breaks when I consider people being sold “goods” that are contrary to what they think they are getting. On a medical trip to Chicago 8 years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to an American who happened to be conservative and black. We discussed frankly the slavery via affirmative action and all the various “programs” disguised as beneficial and of course we know it is a lie. These “benefits” steal the very soul, self worth, liberty and dignity that the majority of Americans (whether 1st generation or 10th generation) enjoy. Obama could care a less for the majority of people of color. Progressives like him seek even more degradation of the populace than what already is in play, especially for your average American who is black.
I will be praying the message of liberation makes a huge in road to black Americans. May you never grow weary of the tasks that are before you.
