My recurring good vibe regarding Palin is that she's got all the right enemies. I think that if she run a good campaign, she'll win. Why? Here's why--her whole campaign can be spun as another shot at history for the American voter. In 2008, we put the first Black man in Oval Office. Now, it's time for the first woman.
People will lap that up.

If you only wound a mama Grizzly you just make them mad.
I think this attack on Palin last week made her stronger and more determined.
Hopefully it made her base more resolute.

i want to like her simply because the media hates her. but that is no basis for a candidate. I think she is a phony. not as phony as obama mind you.

Why the attacks on Sarah have become one of her best weapons:
She is the only candidate who has the ultimate freedom of having already faced her political death head on.
As Winston Churchill famously said, There is nothing more exhilarating than being shot without result, and while thankfully Palin only knows this truth metaphorically, all that she has endured gives her incredible independence.
Everyone else will inevitably melt (like even grizzled veteran John McCain did) when they get close to the blast furnace that will be going up against the Obama juggernaut. Far more than anyone else in conservative history, Palin has been forced to prove just how fireproof her convictions are and how deep her resolve is.
Quite simply, no one else in the potential Republican field will be as trustworthy to conservatives on the issues, and less likely to back down, than Sarah Palin. She has shown beyond any doubt that she can literally handle anything that the pressure of running for president could possibly present.

I can tell you that if she does, I will campaign for her like I’ve never done for any candidate in my 57 years on this planet! I suspect my sentiments are multiplied millions of times over around the country by true, God and country loving conservatives.

Sarah is my first choice PERIOD Mine too. She will be on my ballot, whether her name is printed there or not. I will prick my finger and write her name in my own blood if I have to. She has stood up to the fire, and is the only one who can take on Obama. And I believe she is the only one out of the present field of possible candidates who sincerely wants to return to the Constitution. No oathbreaker is she, like Myth Romney is.

A good essay except for one thing. Why is he so sure that President 0 will win? An economy that in all likelihood will continue to tank by 2012, and a growing long-term unemployment is certainly no winning recipe.

I hope she runs and announces her candidacy at a gun club. After announcing she has a fund raiser/skeet shoot. It will drive the left even crazier!!!

yeah she has a lot of people who lover her , but she also has an equal number who will never under any circumstance vote for her. True, but she only needs 50% + 1 of the electoral votes to win. What if most of the "never under any circumstances" are voters in blue states like CA and NY?

...Instead, a Palin candidacy would guarantee, by far, the best chance to have true conservative principles articulated in a fearless fashion on the grandest of stages, which hasnt really happened (with apologies to Ronald Reagan) since 1964.![](http://www.slantmagazine.com/images/tv/sarahpalinsalaska.jpg)

“Would she win? Probably not, but there is no Republican who would be close to being favored today against Obama”
Do you really think this is true? Do you think Va., Fl, Oh, NC, etc are going to vote for this disaster we call President? With populations trending conservative and Southern, Palin has an excellent chance of winning!

After 2008 — when the media forced us to swallow that horse pill John McCain — it’s hard to believe that Palin can be nominated. Most likely it’ll be Romney. He’ll lose in November, which is fine with me.
