Several Senate Republicans have signed on to the effort, along with a few key House leaders, who have endorsed Democratic Sen. Mark Udall’s proposal to head across the aisle – literally – and sit with members of the opposite party during the annual address on Jan. 25.

They want to hide their historic loss in Congress. They don't want any imagery that shows how much power and support they lost.

Typical coward liberal

>> They want to hide their historic loss in Congress.

Should they co-mingle, there will be no camera shot of a complete standing ovation (assuming the GOP doesn’t stand for the One).

Perhaps the One will ‘reward’ the GOP for being obedient, and they will all rise in his honor.

Reminds me of

Daniel 2:42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

Daniel 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

I emailed my Congresscritter to let him know that a) Dems are liars, in case he hadn't quite figured it out; b) I didn't elect him to play nice with them; and c) that I voted for him so that he would work to tear down the plans Obozo has put in place to destroy our country.

I hope he listens. He's a Freshman. I told him also that if he sat next to a Dem, the Dem will be applauding every time Bozo breathes, and I didn't want him knuckling under to peer pressure.

Seems as if Republicans are particularly inept at creating alternate plausible arguments such as:

“While it would be possibly a nice gesture at a normal times, what a nation need most in a time or turmoil, tragedy and uncertainty is for traditions to continue as they always have and not a lot of changing things up and confusion.”

They seem to fall into the trap of thinking they have to give a yes or no answer to this sort of thing.

Would everyone please put their arm around the person sitting next to you. (Pause for resettlement} Now look them in the eye and tell them that if they ever put their limp wristed hand on you again you will knee them in the nuts and shoot their effin dog.

B4Ranch, I nominate you for Speaker of the Real Men.

This is exactly the sort of attitude most people *thought* they were electing in November.

We don't want to reach across the aisle to Marxists. We don't want bipartisanship with Nazis. We don't want to sit with traitors or share bread with parasites.

We want our country, our culture, and our future back.

And the Devil take anyone who gets in our way.

It is out that Coburn is going to sit beside Schumer. I Googled, “Coburn to sit by Schumer”. Several articles popped up for our enjoyment.

How does truth “compromise” with lies?
It becomes a lie.

How does good “compromise” with evil?
It becomes evil.

There is no compromising with these people,
only defeating them or capitulating to them.

Exactly. I think Rush posed the question as "What's the compromise between food and poison?"

Let’s see what the stupid party does with this one.

Why don’t they just all sing ‘We are the World’, and then retire for a big game of Naked Twister.

I don’t have to care, and you can care all you want about window dressing. I care about how they vote. You can get your panties in a wad about what it looks like on tv if you want to. I’m not being gamed, I’ve been clued in for a long time. If you just woke up, I’m glad. Welcome to the real world, I’ve known what was going on for quite some time. Where they sit and how much they clap makes no nevermind to me.

Agree. We did not vote for them to get along. Besides, I want to see the left and right sides of the Congress during the SOTU. It will not be interesting if they mix it all kumbaya.

I actually think it’s funny that people think they were more civil in the past. They were not.
