The truth is these are frightening times and humor can lesson the emotional impact. I know a Freeper who is taking a break for a few weeks. I recently did so. What is happening to our country is serious and a little levity is necessary to keep our sanity.

It takes a real genius to start something new and open it up by bashing the owner of the site we all love. It really makes me want to avoid the TrueBlue site like the plague. I've been in some posting battles on FR before and I've never had any problems. It's a full time job keeping the miscreants from the left and wimpy conservatives from ruining this site and Jim does a great job at it.
Our goal is to get that socialist misfit Obama out of office in 2012, anything else is just a distraction.

If the idiot doesn't like you or the site, then fair enough. But they seem to expect you to help migrate your user base to THEIR site. This is one CONFUSED individual!
Some people seem to think that because of the size and influence of FreeRepublic that it just can't be permitted to be controlled by ONE man. I have a news flash for all of these types. It's YOUR property. If they don't like this, then they can pay for bandwidth, hardware, maintenance, and "smart people". It's still free enough here in this nation for them to do this.
From what the individual wrote, they're also a RudyBot. Good riddance to the idiot.
