O.K., I’m not going to defend Sheriff Dupnik here; but, I am going to defend his deputies. I would imagine that the sheriff of a community the size of Tucson would have never heard of Loughner. Sorry, that is a simple fact. Do I detest Dupnik’s attitude following this incident. Absolutely, I do. I also know that the deputies in the county that had contact with this guy are not psychiatrists; nor should anyone expect them to be. Everything I read about this psycho does not raise any red flags to me that there was any failed prosecution here. In hindsight Pima County looks like a collection of Keystone cops; however, I would venture to guess that each incident ended without violence and in a large community like this if it ends peacefully resources have better use elsewhere. So, by all means fault this guy for his history of stupid statements; but, please, lets not act as if our Sherlock Holmes hindsight would have somehow gotten this guy sent to the federal pen for 136 years prior to this shooting. In a city like Tuscon no one is going to prison for yelling, no matter how scary they look.

As long as Deputy Dupenuts has taken it on himself to turn this into a political assault on conservatives, he needs to get what he is giving. He is equally as responsible for what happened, even more so, than anyone else he is casting aspersions towards. Remember that it is Dupenuts who has chosen to depart from the realm of reality and reason. If we can help bring about the end of Dupenuts’s career, we will have done a great service to the citizens of Pima County and to his deputies.

He was suspended from the community college because he was whacked. The COUNTY RUN college told him not to come back until he agreed to tone down his antics AND had a signed clean bill of mental health. The college said it used a couple of cops to deliver this letter to his house.

Then we have Dumbass Dupnik himself saying that Loughner was on the PCSO radar for making death threats. Death threats that I'm assuming were targeting public officials.

Multiple public officials in Pima county had numerous chances to get Loughner involuntarily committed for evaluation. No one bothered to do so.
